Xbox 360 Officially Hacked

A team of hackers have now been able to play a back-up copy of PGR3 running on an Xbox 360 with reprogrammed DVD drive firmware. The hackers released a video yesterday to prove that the Xbox 360 now has officially been hacked. According to the hackers the security flaw is in the hardware design, so MS will not be able to patch this hole through a forced XBL update.
The hackers claims that they have no plans to release any tutorial guide to help people play back-ups, their intentions is only to get an understanding of how the 360 is protected. However I am not sure if that statement will calm the people at Microsoft’s security team.
