There has been a lot of hype about PGR3, but that isn’t the only racer that will be available at launch. So before you place that pre-order at least wait until Tokyo Game Show opens its doors next week where Namco’s Ridge Racer 6 will be shown to the public for the very first time. According to the latest issue of Famitsu Magazine we are not talking about some running tech demo, but the game will be on the show floor, fully playable. In case you have been living under a rock for the last 10 years, a next-gen Ridge Racer game can easily take pole position in the race for your money.
About Ridge Racer 6
R6 will let players compete head to head in online races and download new content via Xbox Live. This is the first time that the Ridge Racer franchise offers online play. Utilizing a Worldwide Player Matching system, players can match up against drivers from around the world in head-to-head drift racing match ups. Players can also upload their personal records from the game’s Time Attack mode to see how they stack up against the rest of the world in a persistent Leader Board and download ghost data to virtually race against friends or test their skills against the best in the world. To complement the online Ridge Racer 6 community, new game content such as new cars will periodically be made available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game will be available for the Xbox 360 at launch in North America
