EA has released the first Burnout Revenge 360 screens. Although the game is more or less a straight port from the Xbox version, EA has promised that the game’s graphics will get a major upgrade. Judging by these first screens, it looks like they will deliver the goods as promised.

Unregistered - Idon'tknow 11.28.2005 22:34 They look almost identical to the 360 version of NFS:MW FreeMonk 11.28.2005 22:42 Looks very impressive. Just imagine seeing all the scrapes and dents in your car when driving around the roads. Looks good, but will have to do something special for me to buy Burnout 4 again! Unregistered - cbarker 11.28.2005 22:53 I had burnout revenge but traded it in to help pay for some of my new games so this is definitely on my wish list, little off topic but i saw the video footage for chromehounds on the last demo disc for xbox and it looks amazing, it to will be on my wish list Unregistered - zach 11.28.2005 23:14 Yeah, Chromehounds looks awsome! I heard that there would be offline career mode and an online one where you and your Live buddies try to take over a virtual world. Sounds like a lot of fun to me! Does any 1 know when it comes out? Unregistered - cbarker 11.28.2005 23:20 I think chromehounds comes out early spring. Unregistered - FadeToBlack 11.29.2005 07:08 I have Need for speed most wanted for the 360 and it has an annoying data flow problem which causes a slight twitching while your driving. Its not that big of a deal but it can get annoying. I just hope this game doesent suffer from it as well because from these screens it looks just like NFS. remoteXimpaler 11.29.2005 07:30 first i would like to say that what you guys have have said so far is nice, no ones getting mad at each other, we are all just saying what we like and dont, and no one is being a baby . . . yet secondly, i have this game on xbox and its amazing, it looks amazing right now ill definately be keeping an eye on this one : ) -remote Vivicious 11.29.2005 09:28 To be honest, it's a souped up Xbox version with only the car models really looking that much more impressive. Not to mention the fact I don't like how the headlights and brand name seem not to be connected to the car (ie, no damage). Still, def. a great buy for those who don't have this game already, and even though this is not my kind of game (PGR3 for me, thanks.), it still looks like EA is slowly heading in the right direction. Unregistered - Motojassy 11.29.2005 10:13 What makes PGR so good? I was just wondering because I always wanted to buy a good racing game but they always end up stale and redundant. I did however like Grand Turismo for PS2(srry for the reference). Vivicious 11.29.2005 10:19 If you liked GT, and not most racing games, I'm not so sure you'd enjoy PGR3. Compared to GT it of course has a limited choice of cars (Though all super cars.) and is def. an arcade racer. It's the online support, kudos system (If you drive with more style, hit less obstacles, etc. The more kudos you earn) and of course the graphics that really let me enjoy the game. Unregistered - green lantern 11.29.2005 10:55 graphics upgrade?? so what?? its SUPPOSED to look better becuase of the new system but that alone isnt going to make people buy the game again...whatabout more tracks, more modes, or other special features....i just bout madden 06 for the 360 and aside from the graphics i didnt seen any new innovations...maybe it just because developers are just getting used to the system?? i guess i'll have to wait till nexx year to see the 360's true potential and dominate this "console war".....which isnt even a war because ps3 looks like a$ and the revolution looks like a tv with that stupid controller..... Yo Wassap 11.29.2005 13:14 Here here Good point, i see the point in making this game a port but at the same time the gap between the two was too great meaning most people got it on the previous generation. The graphivs look better but two similar to nfs:mw which is a downer for me...i can't wait 'till burnout 5 that'll be sweet! ZydecoStorm 11.29.2005 14:27 Personally I'm restricting my purchases right now to games that were built from the ground up for 360 (PDZ, PGR3, Amped3, Ridge Racer 6, etc). In the current 20+ titles there are a few too many titles that are ported for 360 (Gun, Madden, Tiger Woods, NFS MW, etc) and also available for the original Xbox or even other consoles. I'm a Burnout fan like many others, but with it already in my Xbox collection I'm not gonna purchase at the premium 360 prices (roughly $10 bucks more per titles). But as a fan of the entire Burnout series, if I didn't already own it, I'd be there on release day and pick it up for the 360, even if it is a port. Unregistered - saphiron 11.29.2005 16:06 Even if it's buildt from the ground up on the 360 doesnt mean it's good.. Amped 3 and RR doesnt look that impressive. Unregistered - cbarker 11.29.2005 16:38 I thought I read somewhere that Madden was built from the ground up and that is why they didnt have all the other features. Of course I could be wrong but if I come across where i read it I will post that it. Unregistered - Darth Gamer 11.29.2005 18:16 Yes, you are correct. Madden for the 360 was made from the ground up for the system. This is why it is basicly a stripped down version of the PS2/XBOX game. Next years will more than likely have all the bells and whistles. Unregistered - GAME REPORTER 11.29.2005 19:10 THE XBOX 360 WILL BE AVALIBLE {CONFIRMED BY MICROSOFT}ABOUT A WEEK FROM NOW AT YOUR LOCAL WALMART STORE.THE ROUMERS YOU'VE HEARD OF IT COMING NEXT YEAR FOR SECOND SHIPMENT ARE ONLY FOR EBGAMES,GAMESTOP AND OTHER STORES LIKE THAT. XBOX 360{$399.99}WITH MEDIA REMOTE CONTROL{LIMITED TIME OFFER UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS XBOX 360 CORE{$299.99} P.S THIS WAS A CONFIRMED REPORT Unregistered - zeon 11.29.2005 19:17 I agree with number #18 the game reporter! READ IT I AM SO HAPPY! PAUL CERULA 11.29.2005 23:50 I'm not sure about laying down 50 bucks on this game. One of the most annoying things about this game is the lack of realistic vehicle physics and crash dents in the cars. I know many people still consider this game fun, but I expect more from racing games if I'm going to pay top dollar. Bam 11.30.2005 07:14 Now I see why EA did not make their Burnout Games backwards compatable. So if you want to play a Burnout on your 360 you will have to buy this one. I would hope the 360 version would have some other features or something special over the Xbox version. Add Comment |
