'Can ya fly Bobby!!' Kaioshen 12.01.2005 10:37 Looks like it's gonna be a pretty awesome game. JsonHenry 12.01.2005 10:49 #2 That is exactly what I was thinking. I remember fighting that SOB on the NES version of Robocop. JsonHenry 12.01.2005 10:49 The look/feel of the game reminds me of Rainbow Six 3. (a good thing) Unregistered - Jonga 12.01.2005 11:02 Looks really good, but what is it about. What kind of enemies will I be fighting and why. Vivicious 12.01.2005 12:28 I had already reported this news a while back, unfortunately when I tried to add the key features I found there was a limit in the amount of news you can post. So I guess it's good that you guys posted a real news item about it. Seems like quite an interesting game, seems a bit uninspired at first, but the options sound promising enough. PunkJa50cent 12.01.2005 12:58 if this game comes out on 360 ill probably get it omegaheat 12.01.2005 13:02 I think this game is using the Unreal Engine3 technology, is it not. It seems like every game that uses this technology looks the same. I don't think the developers are being creative enough, in some way lazy. These games are nothing less of stunning, but could someone brighten the lighting a bit. Itagaki made a point about developers not making their own engines for their games. I think the look of most of these next gen fps are leaving people to believe that all games using the Unreal Engine3 technology will look the same. That is not the case, and this is why so many people were astonished by the Metal Gear Solid4 trailer. If people actually take a closer look at some of the still shots of MGS4, they could see that everything in them could be achievable on the Xbox 360. The game just has a different direction in art, so it stands out. Kojima aslo commented that the Xbox 360 could do the MGS4 trailer in realtime. Itagaki also stated that 'almost anything thinkable is achievable with the 360's hardware.' I guess it really is up to the developers to make or break a system. Lazy, I tell you, just lazy............. Unregistered - asdg 12.01.2005 14:21 Those aren't real screenshots are they? Oh man, this makes me really excited about the 360. Yo Wassap 12.01.2005 14:49 Have you taken a look at gars of war? Those screens are way better than this, this is good but the teaser shows all the jaggies Yo Wassap 12.01.2005 14:50 oops gears of war Unregistered - ninja0327 12.01.2005 17:27 the robots on two legs look like those in the chronicles of riddick game.again nothing new.it seems FPS games are losing their value. whats up with fps games? they used to be fun, now they all look identical. first it was the story line, from halo, to killzone, to maas effect to doom 3 are all set up in the future battling aliens and about human colonization of other worlds.can't they come up with something new, apart from games set up in year 2050 or 2021 or whatever second it's the appearance of characters with gas masks on their faces its almost in every fps game.if devs don't come up with new innovative storylines and character design ppl will lose interest. its like playing the a game but in different titles story etc. Vivicious 12.01.2005 18:07 Mass Effect is an RPG =P Things like Alien-Future storylines have been around since the birth of gaming, just like wars and the like, it's an attractive setting. I do agree alot are alike, but as long as the story and gameplay is completely different, I couldn't care less how many games have the same theme. Unregistered - ninja0327 12.01.2005 20:56 forgot that mass effect is an rpg my mistake for that. i agree with you that alien future games are fun to play (BUT SOME, NOT ALL).and like you sayed they have been here since gaming began but i think its time fps move into another direction. games like "far cry", "chronicles of riddick escape from butcher bay" and "turok evolution" are the only games i can think of that have managed to changed direction, they might be set in the future but its minor and their storylines don't focus on battling alien species. games like prey, doom, quake, are fun to play but after playing them its kind of repeatitive they even use the same engine Unregistered - GAME REPORTER 12.01.2005 20:57 THE XBOX 360 WILL BE AVILIBLE {ANOUNCED BY MICROSOFT}AT YOUR LOCAL WALMART STORE TWO WEEKS FROM NOW. Kind of gave me the sense of F.E.A.R. did just a little bit with that robot and the guys on the game... thats just me but hopefully it will rock. Yo Wassap 12.02.2005 04:34 beacause thh developers think it looks "cool" it's a shame really, the only thing keeping these games alive are the graphics, it shouldn't be... Unregistered - sdfsd 12.02.2005 06:04 Now these are from EMG (Electronic Gaming Magazine) so, well I base alot of games on how they review them normally they're accurate. Well, I crossed by the Xbox 360 titles and wow; i was shocked--they either went to brutal on the games... or something... most of all the games got from 5 to 7.5 in average(except Call of Duty 2.) -sumguy did this Vivicious 12.02.2005 07:33 I agree, they seem to want to play it safe and bring out the 100th sequel and reliable gameplay, while most people would like something new. I think you're selling Prey short though, I haven't seen an innovative shooter like that in a looooooong time. Unregistered - Vivicious 12.02.2005 13:52 -- Deleted by Mod -- Unregistered - ok 12.04.2005 20:52 it looks like counter strike source, should have good online i think. Yo Wassap 12.05.2005 15:16 cool what happened to the guy who was banned what did he say? Anyway i guess the problem with new ideas is they they often don't become accepted by the market and thus die Unregistered - runnin_n_gunnin 12.06.2005 10:10 yea this is gonna look better on the ps3 because of the extra space on the blu-ray format.... oh yea b4 i go 10 reasons to get a ps3......enjoy!! =P omegaheat 12.06.2005 11:57 It's gamers like you who buy into anything that sounds new. Blue-ray technology will not enhance your PS3 games. It's only more disc space, particulary for the use of HD movie content. Don't think for a second that just because developers have more disc, they will use it to enhance games with better graphics and gameplay. Blue-ray disc+gaming is a misleading topic. Developers only like the idea of the blue-ray disc space because it allows them to use more of that prerendered movie $h!t that makes the actual in-game graphics pale in comparison. Have you even seen a PS2 commercial lately. They advertise most of the games using prerendered graphics that look nothing like the game or gameplay. They just hope that some poor sap like yourself, gets sold by terms such as blue-ray, reality synthesizer, emotion-engine, cell-chip, etc. Man it hurt me just to type the word emoootion-engine. Ignorance of the gaming world is no excuse. Add Comment |
