Finally, everyone will have an equal chance of winning the intensely hunted Xbox. Three Xbox 360s have already been auctioned off for the highest unique winning bids of $116.80, $118.80 and just $5.31! With UniqueAuction, all items come with a low ceiling price. No bid can go over the ceiling price and the highest unique bid (the highest number selected by the least individuals) under the ceiling price wins the auction. How can an Xbox 360, worth $499.99, be auctioned for less than it's worth? The answer is simple. A small entry fee per bid is charged (ID="MainNewsBlogCom".00 for platinum members and HAVABlog.00 for regular members) to cover the retail price of the product. This way, the retailer gets the full price while the winner buys it for the fraction of the retail price. UniqueAuction once again makes the unavailable, available to absolutely everyone with the Xbox 360. For more information on UniqueAuction, please visit www.UniqueAuction.com. I can't wait till next thanksgiving, it will be such a refreshing change to gaming! Unregistered - merkuk 12.07.2005 06:50 anyone know how to play call of duty on line with 2 people playing on the same xbox360-- me & mate have to profile on the machine --can we play on line at the same time --- thanx Unregistered - 12.07.2005 07:25 -- Deleted by Mod -- MerlinZero 12.07.2005 12:42 has anyone actually been to the site? it looks like an Ebay rip off, i see lawsuit in the future.... but on a brighter note. this is a hell of a deal Unregistered - Q 12.07.2005 13:29 I happen to think it is a pretty cool idea/concept. Unregistered - 360 12.07.2005 13:49 Last night an Xbox 360 was won on Unique Auction for HAVABlog.57!! Unregistered - I Want my xbox 360 12.07.2005 18:10 I looked at Gamestop's website and 2 bundles are available. Although the price is steep (the cheapest is $999), it includes several games. I figure this beats paying $1000+ on ebay just for the console. I don't know if this purchase ships before the holiday or not. I saw this, however, and I wanted to pass it along for anyone who might be interested (I would love to get this, but I don't have the $999 plus shipping & handling). Yo Wassap 12.07.2005 18:14 and you think you're rich... you meet up with some of my friends (yikes) i'm not that rich (me tryin to be modest) but gettin a new hdtv was crazy, i already had a 67" in my bedroom (hd) so no real poin huh... Unregistered - Nick 12.07.2005 19:16 You have no chance of winning on unique auctions. The people using that system are using the platinum version and dropping several hundred dollars on bids. They create a "mine field" of bids, so that you have literally no chance of winning. Also, I have a feeling that UA is making some of the bids themselves, so that they are likely the winner. I was observing and I noticed bulk bis that cost a hundred dollars for a $200 item. This is either the work of a compulsive gambler (since there is no guarentee of winning), or UA making bids in order to decrease your chances of winning. Unique auctions is making a killing if it is "real" bidding (no uniqueauction bots). We are talking HAVABlogk for a $400 item and such... Unregistered - Q 12.07.2005 22:19 No kidding, I joined with a platinum membership and for the high dollar items the amount of bids that are submitted in the last seconds is almost inconveivable. In the last minute of the auction I was watching ( $300 gift card)over 500 bids were entered at HAVABlog a bid or ID="MainNewsBlogCom" for platinum members. Needless to say it is basically a lottery or raffle as it is impossible to keep track of bids and play strategically in the last seconds when all the action occurs. Unregistered - merkuk 12.08.2005 02:33 does anyone know what a good broaddand speed is for xbox live? Unregistered - 12.08.2005 08:55 #5... At your own risk.... but, I doubt you'll need to camp at Best Buy on the 17th. This news may not even be real, and few will even know about it. This isn't as publicly known as the launch date. I'm going to drive by 3 hours before open. If there is a huge line, I'll go back home. If there isn't, I'll wait. I'm not going to camp based on possibly inaccurate information. Sure, people have said "I work at Best Buy and I can confirm." Well, that's horse crap. Best Buy has NEVER kept the Little Blue Smurfs in the loop of anything, and they rarely get their product for ads in on time. It won't be unlike Best Buy to put something in the ad for Sunday, and not have the product. (Yes, once long ago, in a city far, far away I was a Smurf.) Unregistered - Menevy 12.09.2005 08:53 Those auctions where you win if you bid a unique price are basically horrible deals, the holders of the auction make many times over the price of the actual item, and the average user of such auctions comes out the loser in the end. It is much better to use a regular auction site, like eBay, Yahoo or Bidera.com . Of course eBay could be really expensive. Unregistered - Q 12.09.2005 14:08 Holy shiznit! They're selling the premium bundles for $589. What a RIPOFF!! Unregistered - andy 12.14.2005 12:49 I have read way too many people's comments about how they pre-ordered through EB Games or another store and it's not fair that they haven't gotten their xbox 360's yet, while people are able to wait at Best Buy and pick one up. Here is something to think about: YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID ARGUMENT!! EB Games and Best Buy will get similiar amounts of xbox's. If you pre-ordered and are number 700 out of 1,000 you still have to wait, just like the 700th person who will get an xbox from their local Best Buy. If that person doesn't get theirs til March when their local Best Buy gets their 700th xbox, why should the 700th person who pre-ordered through EB Games get their xbox now? Do yo see the point? Both people will be getting their xbox at roughly the same time that the shipments get to those stores. If EB Games did not do a pre-order, then people would be able to wait in line and try to get one, just like at Best Buy. Why are people trying to use the excuse of pre-ordering as a way of stating they should get an xbox before someone that didn't. THE ONLY WAY THAT ARGUMENT IS VALID IS IF BEST BUY HAD DONE A PRE-ORDER , AND THOSE PEOPE WEREN'T GETTING THEIR XBOX AHEAD OF PEOPLE WALKING IN AND GETTING ONE OFF THE SHELF. I don't want to read any more threads about whining from the pre-order people. WAIT IN LINE, GET AN XBOX, AND THEN CANCEL YOUR PRE-ORDER IF YOU WANT ONE SOONER!! Add Comment |
