Set to ship at the end of the year, Windows Vista will be Microsoft's first major operating system release since introducing Windows XP in 2001. The new Windows Vista operating system offers a shiny new user interface, better security, improved data organization, and near-instantaneous search. The new operating system will be a major gaming platform release because it includes DirectX 10, an upgraded and rebuilt collection of APIs that, according to Microsoft, will offer six to eight times the graphics performance of DirectX 9.0. In the second part of our Windows Vista series, we take a look at how the new operating system will make it easier to organize and find all of your programs, media files, and games.

The 360 has some features that are DirectX 10 compliant and has been said that Xenos (360’s triple core CPU) can make pic up the rest to basically be DX 10 compatible through software updates. You just wait and see when DX 10 comes around. MS was’nt f*cking around when they mentioned the key is unlocking the hardware to it’s full potential through software and they can do this best.
