This is because if the union decertifies, then anti-trust rules will apply. If this happens, then EA is out of luck. Antitrust laws would be in effect and the contract would be voided. The simple fact is because the current CBA(collective bargaining agreement) goes through the end of the 2007 season. So, at the earliest this would not take affect until spring 2008. Also, I feel that the NFL is going to hopefully get their heads out of their ass and get this thing straightened out this weekend.They have extended their deadline from last night by 72 hours to work things out. 8 -
