The next game from the team behind Far Cry is named Crysis and runs on a new game engine that simply looks amazing. Hopefully Crysis will be announced for Xbox 360 as well. For now check out this short demo of what this new game engine is capable of.

God willing, someone will correctly produce a life-like game with these new effects for the 360 by then, PS3 as well, if it even sells by then, and for those who want to spend thousands making a clucky gaming PC yea that too. Forgive me for asking too much, but if games don't look like that by then, than I don't think we would have advanced much at all in gaming graphics. 12 -

Also who's to say EA may never break their shell and make a good game outside of sports like they are known for? just cause it has sucked in the past don't mean they can't still up and do it now. It don't hurt when a company trys to expand their game library into other directions. Who knows this could be good? just like Rockstar making the Ping Pong game for 360. It has yet to be proven that the game will suck so to just judge it by being a Ping Pong game is plain ignorant! also all the Sony Fanboys that have been laughing it up about Rockstar making this Ping Pong game Exclusive to 360... I wonder if they read the Loose Talk section on page 26 of Game Informer April 06? It states (word for word)= GTA Exclusivity Over? BusinessWeek recently opened up the possibility that the next Grand Theft Auto may be released simultaneously on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. A source pointed out that Take-Two still has the option to eschew Sony exclusivity, something that would be a huge boon for Microsoft and its system. Of course, with Take-Two's financial troubles, two GTAs would be a nice cash boost for the company. Now while this don't confirm it WILL happen, I wouldn't rule it out. With Take-Two getting sued beyond anything ever imagined for this Hot Coffee stuff, I'd imagine they would make it for both PS3 & 360 considering how much money they lost over this lawsuit. Also the fact that GTA has also found home to Xbox last gen, definatley does not rule a simultaneous release out. As bringing the franchise to Xbox has helped them sell even more games! even if it don't release simultaneously, with last gen in mind.. Im very sure 360 owners will be getting GTA as well! 15 -

It is realtimeUnregistered - mutt 03.27.2006 13:38 They put out a demo video about a month ago, it was realtime, thats why everyone was so impressed. It looks better than most pre-rendered vids. In the video it also says "real-time" for those of you who missed it watch it again. They have improved the jungle since the last video, the ground looks amazing, last video was just your basic Farcry ground, but this is amazing. 19 -

Vivicious 03.27.2006 15:13 PS3 and X360 will NOT be able to run this game with all options enabled. It's a fully supported DX10 title. That doesn't mean that 2 years from now we won't be seeing games with superiour graphics on the consoles, just certain techniques will not be possible. 22 -

FreeMonk 03.27.2006 20:49 This looks pretty, and more than likely the 360 and PS3 will be able to handle it. We've only seen a slight bit of power that the 360 can produce. There's lots more to come. As for EA, they published BLACK which was a great 1st Person Shooter, with the only downside being no Multiplayer. Also, isn't Burnout by EA?! I can't remember. Halo 3!? It'll look nice, very nice I predict. Expect to see first glimpses in a months time! E3 BABY!!! PS3 better than 360!? Who can comment? No one. Some of you 360 guys are worse than the PS3 Fanboys, saying that the 360 will crap all over the PS3. It may not, but no one knows because we've not seen anything that you can call PROPER GAMEPLAY yet, just some CGI and tech video's. The only thing I've seen so far that's classed as Real time gameplay is the sequal to that crappy RPG on the PSP, and to be honest, it looked pants. Wait for E3! Take oblivion, its better than i even expected but it doesnt have no where near as many effects going on compared to that clip. Heres hoping... P.S. I'll be extremely impressed if halo looks more "real" than this. Halo has a different style though and that has to be considered. 32 -
FreeMonk 03.27.2006 22:20 Just remember guys, it's not all about graphics! If the game plays like crap, the graphics will mean nothing. As I've already said, the graphics on the 360 are still growing. Developers are just at the foreplay stage of the 360 at the moment. We are just getting a glimpse of what it can do! Look at the state that was Perfect Dark Zero compared to Ghost Recon. Miles apart within a few months. I don't think that the 360 could handle all the graphical features that the Crysis video showed, but it'd be very very close. I don't think anyone apart from people with a £2000 / $4000 mega tower would be able to run that game with all that graphical power. Look at oblivion. You need a top range PC to play that game with all the bells and whistles on, and the 360 runs it perfectly and better in some cases! There's plenty of room yet for the 360 to grow, and I wouldn't be suprised if Crysis is announced as a 360 title at E3 in May! 33 -
