The results may be surprising to gamers. In Forrester's analysis, Sony's brand garnered the highest marks of the three companies (Sony also ranked 3rd out of 22 companies), earning an average of A plus. Of the companies surveyed, only Bose and Dell sport an A plus. Meanwhile, Microsoft's brand earned an overall grade of C (placing Microsoft at 20 out of 22), dragged down by low brand trust. Nintendo's brand earned a B, but was pulled towards the bottom of the ranking (17th place out of 22) by low brand potential and low brand adoption. Read More Add Comment  1 -

Everyone knows that Windows is a bag of bollocks, and that's what people have probably voted against. Nintendo haven't got the mass market that Sony have. Most people won't trust microsoft because of windows issues , but you have to think that windows has to be compatable with so many differnet products and software and people are always trying to manipulate it with viruses etc, It must be a huge task for microsoft to take on and I think they deserve a litle more credit, anyhow I would like to see sony try and do it. 4 -

Unregistered - 03.30.2006 11:01 The results aren't that surprising. It's trendy to hate MS. Also MS is so big and powerful that when something goes wrong, it's huge press. The recent worms on the Mac OS are barely mentioned in the tabloids. Barely anybody is even aware of the Sony rootkit fiasco (installing software without permission, and circumventing people's firewalls, COME ON!?). Meanwhile every worm and bug on Windows XP seems to make it's way to primetime CNN. 7 -

FreeMonk 03.30.2006 11:59 I wouldn't even consider buying anything Sony other than a PS3. Sound equipment, TV's, MP3 Players etc are all crap. I'd rather go with a dedicated supplier like Panasonic, Pioneer or a smaller company like Mordaunt Short or Bose because they make products that last and are of quality, not just shipped off the line as fast as they can to make a quick buck. Sony are good at one thing, Consoles, and they are not even that good. 9 -

It was flawless they had my shipping box here the next day and I had my new until 4 days later. Quick and painless. They really delivered on the customer care. Very nice and friendly. I rate their customer care 2nd to none. Im very proud to be a Xbox and 360 owner. As both systems I find to be very rewarding. Also why is it that 360 gets bad press when something goes wrong? what about when Playstation has stuff wrong? 18 -

No!Unregistered - migs 04.01.2006 08:40 How many upside down playstations have you seen? I've seen a fair few, I never had to do that with any of my other game consoles. All i can say to number 18 is NO i will not buy sony it is not very good, my experiences have taught me that, The sony speakers in my car are utter crap!, our samsung tv has a better picture than our freinds sony tv of comparable features,my pioneer surround system sounds better than the sonys i heard and is easier to use + when i did consider buying a sony whlist looking on the net I was put of by the amount of people that had problems with theirs, I could carry on with more examples of why I personally dislike the brand but i think i've made my point. 20 -
