Based on a marketing email recently sent out, it looks as if we will be seeing Texas Hold'em Poker by RiverBelle and Street Fighter Hyper Fighting during the month of May!!!
Read More Add Comment Unregistered - Fade To Black 04.30.2006 09:19 This is cool, I love texas hold'em but nothing in life is free. Tetelestia 04.30.2006 10:54 There's no "playing" involved when there's no incentive to not lose your fake money. Unregistered - John McTiernan 04.30.2006 11:36 Street Fighter should've been released BEFORE May cuz once E3 starts, its gonna get lost in the shuffle of kickass next-gen games that AREN'T 15 YEARS OLD!!!! asdf 04.30.2006 11:36 #2: I think the incentive will be provided by leaderboards #1: True, but in this case the costs are time spent downloading (can usually be done while doing something else), HD space (most everyone still has enough, and it can be deleted), and having to see the ads in the game. I'd say these costs are pretty low compared to the benefit people will get from playing, wouldn't you? And why is Street Fighter not in the title of this? I think that's a BIT more exciting than poker... Unregistered - pokerman 04.30.2006 11:54 It has been stated (check xbox360poker.com) that the only advertising is in the name of the game (Texas Hold'em by RiverBelle).... hardly intrusive/etc.... Also, i bet they have worked in the web camera into the game (perhaps thats why they have delayed its release).... I agree that Street Fighter will be big... but this game is free and Poker is huge!!! Unregistered - Kixmix 04.30.2006 12:57 poker will be free and great to sharpen ur skills, all they have to do now is make a small mspoint wagers (like 10 mspoint matches which is peanuts) extra feature incorporated into it for those who like to have an incentive but at the same time to becareful with some childproof locks that make it difficult for younger under the age kids so it doesn't promote illegal gambling. what do u think? I dunno where my SNES is and i've wanted to play this game for quite some time. gonna be kickass Unregistered - aries 04.30.2006 22:24 didnt we get this email at the end of march? obviously it will come out during E3. that would be a very big anouncement for the show. for some i guess anyways. Unregistered - oblivion loser 05.01.2006 07:22 does anybody else think M$ is sort of a joke. I own a 360 and i enjoy playing it, but at the same time I sort of think M$ is sort of silly. They ARE really all about the money, could care less about releasing anything on schedule....anything....honestly, has 1 big game been released that hasn't be been patched? and Im not talking about arcade or whatever. its too bad that we sit here salivating about stupid Street fighter 2. Don't get me wrong, I'll work all you guys with guile and the flash kick, but wouldn't it be wonderful if M$ or sony actually was honest, and reliable, which would point to them REALLY caring about the consumer =) Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.01.2006 09:52 I'm glad that MS takes its time with releases. Every company is about the money thats why they are in the business. Your right I do get tired of the patching but until they figure out the system thats bound to happen. As for them being honest. Well no company is honest. They do care about you buying their product but they don't care about your feeling. If I had a big company and lets say I knew the product I had wasn't perfect but good enough at the time and there was some sort of demand for what I am selling. Well I'm going to sell that product and not tell anybody about the problem. Because if I told you about the problems chances are I'm going to loose alot of money on consumers as well as the stock holders Who expected the product to be out on a deadline. I would have worried more if there was no online to patch the games than worrying about if MS cared about me. Like I said it's a business and if they don't get it right soon then they will pay the consequence for a product that has to many complaints about it. but I feel thats not the case. Just be patient, everything is just starting to come together for them and this year is going to be pretty good for us 360 owners. Unregistered - Oblivion loser 05.01.2006 10:17 whats up 13, yeah i understand what you're saying about profit, i just wish gamers had more power, as consumers sort of in a union mentality. It'd be great if people boycotted games for a month or so just to show M$ that they can't push games back 6 months or a year and act like nothing happened. It'd be nice if they'd at least acknowledge their mistakes, apologize, and try to get most games out on time. Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.01.2006 10:38 Well I do agree more of a explanation would be nice. I don't know if you saw the new trailer to Saints Row. The game looks incredible. But if they have released the game early there would have been alot of problems still with it. Sh*t I had full payment on Frame City Killer when the system came out and that game is still not ready. But after seeing a few game shots of Frame City Killer I'm glad that they went back to the drawing board with it. That game was horrible. As for boycot. There are alot of companies I would loved to do that to. I would start with Japanese companies because to me Japan doesn't give anything that wasn't made there a chance so Sony PS3 would be my first boycot product. But in the long run unlike Japanese people the only one I would be punishing is myself and thats it. But Hey if you want to boycot MS for a month well that sounds like fun atleast. But trust me I do understand where you're coming from. It's just that we can't really do nothing about it. Unregistered - hugman 05.14.2006 07:19 texas hold'em will be fun on xbox live, but its not the same as being face to face with opponents, to see if your bluffing is up to scratch, not to mention gambling with actual money not virtual chips. Anyone who thinks they will get better at poker through a console is a bit of a *!@&%$(use your imagination) and needs to get taught a lesson on a non-virtual poker table! Unregistered - hugman 05.14.2006 07:21 o yeah tht last comment was to #9 yeah tht shut him up Unregistered - kyle... 05.14.2006 15:17 Bunch of F*ing wieners here. Be patient. Wouldn't you rather wait to get a more polished game, than have a piece of Sh*t right now? Unregistered - ProMinx 05.31.2006 20:10 One more month that we've missed both Poker and Street Fighter.
