Unregistered - nick 05.04.2006 14:34 and the rest of games out arent stupid, no ones original anymore, fps, rpg, all the same, different skin, what are you talking about. and yes money's all that matters anymore, thats a business. Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.04.2006 14:43 THQ is probably giving Rockstar a run for their money. First Saint's Row now this. Keep up the good work.. Unregistered - starscream uscream 05.04.2006 18:06 So David Chase refuses to make a feature length "The Sopranos" for the big screen, BUT he gives the green light for a VIDEOGAME???? WTF? Im guessing we'd play as tony, but doing WHAT exactly? Sitting in Dr. Melfi's office? Sitting in the Bada Bing? Sitting in front of Satriale's? Sitting at home in front of the TV? There's ZERO gameplay here! All tony does is eat, b1tch, and occasionally throw someone a beating. Nothing really happens on that show. You cant really do a GTA killing spree game cuz the show's not really about that. Hey Chase, you still have a good show (though its been going downhill for 4 seasons), let the show go out on a good note, and abort this demon fetus b4 its too late. Unregistered - polpot 05.04.2006 20:16 sopranos are teh ghey. Unregistered - Unknown 05.04.2006 20:25 Perhaps you don't watch the show, because it looks like you know nothing about it. There is always something going on in that show(Like the Godfather). Let me give you a brief summary: loads of gang violence, father shot son, Vito(one of Tony Sopranos gang men)is a homo, Cop chasing, betrayal, sex, breaking the law, theft, and the whole shabang. You pretty much get the picture. Unregistered - Unknown 05.04.2006 20:29 I love this show so I hope this is a good game. Nuff said. She said: You’re one in a million You’ve got to burn to shine, But you were born under a bad sign, With a blue moon in your eyes. You woke up this morning All the love has gone, Your Papa never told you About right and wrong. But you’re looking good, baby, I believe you’re feeling fine,(shame about it), Born under a bad sign With a blue moon in your eyes. Original Soundtrack New Soundtrack You woke up this morning The world turned upside down, Thing’s ain’t been the same Since the Blues walked into town. But you’re one in a million You’ve got that shotgun shine. Born under a bad sign, With a blue moon in your eyes. When you woke up this morning everything you had was gone. By half past ten your head was going ding-dong. Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes, like a voice telling you there was something you should know. Last night you were flying but today you’re so low - ain’t it times like these that make you wonder if you’ll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to the others; wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers. Don’t you wish you didn’t function, wish you didn’t think beyond the next paycheck and the next little drink? Well you do so make up your mind to go on, ‘cos when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone. When you woke up this morning, When you woke up this morning, When you woke up this morning, Mama said you’d be the Chosen One. When you woke up this morning, When you woke up this morning, When you woke up this morning, You got yourself a gun. Unregistered - Nodoze 05.04.2006 23:02 A quick ca$h in game to lure non gamers into paying 60 bux (the equivalent of an entire box set for a season) to play. I am a fan of the show, but I see ZERO gameplay here! Unless of course they create a 'Pine Barrens' level in which you are trapped and must seek out relish and ketchup packets in the snow to survive! .....naaa still stoopid!! Unregistered - Kyle 05.05.2006 00:31 Man, HBO needs to make a deal to have a Deadwood game. I wanna have the remove the kidney stone mini-game! Unregistered - starscream uscream 05.05.2006 15:29 "Father shot son"? Corrado Soprano is Tony's UNCLE, Mr.Expert!! Looks like YOU know nothing about the show. And your "examples of gameplay" only prove my point: "Vito(one of Tony Sopranos gang men)is a homo, Cop chasing, betrayal, sex, breaking the law, theft, and the whole shabang..." How,exactly, do you play "Vito Spatafore is a homo(sexual)"? "Cop chasing"? I've seen every episode of "The Sopranos" and I can't recall a single high speed chase scene. In season 3 Tony and Carmela got pulled over by a black cop (Charles S. Dutton), but there was no shootout, all Tony did was call him a "f**kin smoke" and get him fired-yeah, REAL exciting gameplay material there. Shows like "24" and "The Shield", on the other hand, have workable concepts as action games. Both are fast moving shows with very active leading characters: The death toll of this season's "24" is like 170!!! Jack Bauer kills like 8-10 bad guys every Ep! And Vic Mackey? Can he go through one show without raiding 5 crack houses and beating the sh!t out of 10 perps? So what makes better sense as game? A lightning paced, plot-driven show with (actual) car chases, countless gunfights, terrorist acts, nuclear bombs, etc, etc.... OR A deliberately paced, character-driven show where plot often takes a back seat to method acting and personal internal conflict. A show where as many people die from heart attacks, strokes on the toilet (that was funny!), and suicide as from gangland violence. "The Sopranos" is one of the best shows in TV history(just behind "Homicide: Life on the Streets" IMO) But a workable template for a game? I dont think so. Add Comment |
