Gates claims ten million head start

Microsoft chief Bill Gates has claimed that Xbox 360 will enjoy a ten million unit head start over its next-gen rivals. It was recently confirmed that Microsoft has now shipped 3.3 million Xbox 360’s worldwide since the console’s launch in December, and in the next seven months it hopes to triple its installed user base. With hardware supplies now approaching free availability following prolonged shortages since launch, the firm believes it can accelerate sales from now until the November release of PS3.

Obviously the let down that was the Sony press conference has hit home for #3!!
