The average gamer can only afford about 2 systems per house hold. spending $399 for x360 then $250 Wii squeezes out the competition.

That is perfect, form an alliance between nintendoi and microsoft. This is just what i was hoping for. Now if only nintendo can make us some motion sense controllers hehe

3 - He stole my idea
Unregistered - Jonga 05.11.2006 15:43
I already planned on doing this anyway. Got my 360 at launch, and will have the Wii at launch. I can do without yet another Final Fantasy and those screenshots on the PS3today site don't even look better than 360 games.

10 - Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, perfect!
Unregistered - bernie g 05.11.2006 16:13
I'm already enjoying my 360 and will definately get a Nintendo Wii, why bother spending all that money on a playstation? especially as the "cheap" version doesn't have half the features!

11 - PETER SHOUTING AT SONY.
Unregistered - 0000000000000000 05.11.2006 16:16
SONY IS A TRUE THIEF!stealing microsoft and nintendo ideas.have goting Peter Moore angry.YOU GO HEAD PETER SPEAK YOUR MIND.

12 - Awesome
Unregistered - Wes 05.11.2006 16:26
The wii is gonna offer completely different play to the 360, which means that it wont dent the 360 sales coz the gaming and playin style will be different, hence the individual control.

people will buy the wii because it offers next gen gameplay, in a different way to the 360. but theyl still want the xbox360/ps3 because they offer next gen from a different angle.

and if your gonna buy two consoles, you cant shell out the money sony wants, so a microsoft/nintendo entertainment budget will suit almost everyone. I think pete moore suggested what everyone was thinking, and givin them an extra push.

Awesome!

Anyone know a link to the actual interview this dude on ClubSkill is referring to? I would be interested to see the context in which Peter said this.

The two systems will be perfect for each other. Imagine DOA 4 on wii or Mario HD on the xbox 360. You buy the xbox 360 for its HD gaming, main stream games like Halo, Splinter cell, Battlefield, Oblivion and for crazy online service like online gaming, marketplace content downloads and communications. You then buy the wii for its innovative gameplay and vast old gen titles (super mario, duck hunt, original bomber man). Oh it will be sweet. MS offered to buy half of Nintendo last year, maybe this year it's a full assault. Sony will surely fall upagainst the wii and the xbox 360.

MS just has respect for Nintendo they ot-to but i think they don't want to be resposible for killing Nintendo so their trying to help -my 2 cents- plus the Wii and the 360 have the vision and are not in it for just money. They can help one another get of the money hungry liers, I still think Nintendo is in trouble.

16 - NOICE!
Unregistered - daniel 05.11.2006 18:08
this is awsome. keep on talking pete. M$ and Nintendo would rule!!!!! no question. Ps3 is cheating their way in, stealing ideas from both of the consoles. PS3 IS GOING DOWN!!!!!!!! HALO 3 is all i have to say about that. i like what moore is saying. you can get a great console in the wii, and a awsome console in the 360, enjoy them both. ps3 is dead in the water now.

Lets not call him Peter, lets call him by his true name. D I C K, that what he is. He's so scared of Sony he will stoop to any lows. No one aksed him to buy one and buy the time you buy a hd-dvd add on, your spend that or more. PS3 has got Blu-ray,which is going to demolish hd-dvd so it should be more expensive. Just shut up and play your system of choice. Let other buy the system they choose, your just afriad more will choose ps3, and they probably will. Dont be scared. You already know how it feels to own a losing console. You should be used to it.

OH and NO one OWNS a particular controller configuration. Theres only so much you can do with one so shut up about they stole this and that. Sony was the first console to have Dual analog and others use that so keep your teeth together.

Islandkiwi 05.11.2006 18:50
That's exactly what I'm going to do.

As a gamer, owning two consoles is better than owning one, right?

Can't you see what MS are doing!??

They are trying to form an alliance with Nintendo, so when Nintendo finally go the way of Sega (which they will in a few years!), MS will buy Nintedo or partner with Nintendo, then Sony will be in deep trouble.

It's a known fact that MS have been trying for years to purchase or partner with Nintendo. Francises like Mario, Zelda and Metroid are MASSIVE in both Japan and the rest of the world.

Also, you've got to remember that MS are going for a relaunch in June in Japan, so if you look at it from an image point of view, Peter Moore is showing how loyal he is to Nintendo, therefore selling his own console to the Japanese in the process. Remember that Nintendo is pretty huge in Japan, and still outsell Sony (well with the Gameboy and DS anyway!).

Peter Moore is playing a very clever game, and here's hoping it works out.

Personally, I have my 360 which I'm happy with, and I will definatly be buying a Nintedo Wii, just for Smash Bros Brawl and Zelda alone. As for PS3, I'll pre-order one, see what launch titles there are, and if I'm not interested, I can still buy it and sell it on Ebay for 3times the price to a Sony Fanboy!

That way I can they buy a PS3 with my profit when something decent comes out!

*kills self after reading too many E3 fanboy comments*

He just friggin showed respect for Nintendo, there's no huge conspiracy to wipe out Sony as a team or vice versa! How can I be typing this? I killed myself....

24 - Brilliant man that Peter.

"HEAVENLY SWORD (PLAYSTATION 3)

One of the most promising playable PlayStation 3 games at E3 was Heavenly Sword, a third-person title with a red-haired beauty at the centre of the action. "

Is it just me or is this another stolen idea, the original red haired maiden being Joanna Dark???

Is just a female God of War.

to see Sony fanboys spouting hateful drivel on an Xbox 360 message board. After all, the P$3 was supposed to be out already, but since it was delayed by $ony once already, they have nothing better to do, while we can play GRAW, Oblivion, etc. and drool in anticipation of the great games coming out THIS YEAR. Where is Killzone? Who knows. When is MGS 4 coming? Who knows. Will the P$3 actually release this year? Who knows. All MS and Xbox 360 fans who want to REALLY piss off their local $ony fanboys should go reserve a P$3 as soon as they can, then sell them to the desperate, whining $ony sheep the week before Christmas. Should be able to make enough for the HD add-on drive and a bunch of games....
