And Sony says that Microsoft won't sell ten million units by year's end. Unregistered - Jimbo 05.12.2006 12:28 This should have been supported from Day 1. Plain and Simple. Thank the Lord we are into auto updates through Live. Where would we be without it. omegaheat 05.12.2006 12:31 That's what I call news. And Sony says that Microsoft won't sell ten million units by year's end. Unregistered - Mo 05.12.2006 12:32 Actually, it may be more than enough. 6 at once will bog down any connection. But hey, at least I can walk away from it, or do one or 2 at a time and still play decent mulitplayer. Took you 6 months, but you finally came through MS. As for the secret fuctions, it will have to include camera support. Just has to. UNO was already released this week under "Camera Enabled Games" on the marketplace. So, yeah, that better be in there too. Unregistered - a.d.r 05.12.2006 12:34 thats great news its a pain in the ass when u d/l demos and trailers and u have to wait hours till u can play again so thank u microsoft for listening to ur fans and fellow gamers :) Unregistered - Please! 05.12.2006 12:35 And Please add an option to go to the dashboard when you turn it on and not straight to a game! Unregistered - Jimbo 05.12.2006 12:39 I like that idea a lot. Especially for those who use the music and video functions more than gaming. At least having the option for either would be great. Unregistered - john deere 05.12.2006 13:09 #8 they have that feature already, just startup the console with the eject button. this is a necessary update, its gonna make the system so much better. People will need to realize that online gaming and background dling dont go hand in hand. next, make a dl scheduler. Let the xbox360 startup at 2am, dl all the schdeuled items and then shut down. Thatd be nice too, to help cut down on bandwidth usage during the day and youll have stuff to watch in the morning. Unregistered - #8 05.12.2006 13:25 #10 - I know that BUT! Wouldn't it be great NOT to get off you couch, since I use my as a media center extender also, yes you can hit the eject button on the remote, BUT as soon as it goes back in it starts the game, and if the tray is hanging open it may get damaged! I use it for more than just games - I thought that was the point :) hehe Unregistered - Roy 05.12.2006 13:35 VERY GOOD NEWS !! Will be a long waited funtionality. props to MS Unregistered - ryan 05.12.2006 13:36 It seems like the easy thing to do would be to make it so that the 360 button turns on the system and takes you to the dashboard, while pushing the power button on the system takes you to the game. Or it could be as simple as a menu setting: 360 button on start-up - Dashboard or Game (toggle). Unregistered - Sean 05.12.2006 13:38 I wonder of that long rumoured Direct Tv blade will be there. That would be so awesome. Unregistered - Billy 05.12.2006 13:45 Dear MS, Please make my 360 make me fresh toast every morning... oh, it would be great if it can turn the 360 into a coffe maker, it will save a lot of space... you see, my apartment is very small. I love you MS, A fan Unregistered - a fan 05.12.2006 13:57 Hey, you will need a grillstation 3 mate, the xbox 360 is amazing, superb games, play dvds, etc, etc, but I believe that the CELL technology and blu-ray will be advanced enough to help you... Unregistered - crazy gamer 05.12.2006 14:01 Nice MS keep the good stuff coming but i bet next week sony will say that the delaystation does that to. Unregistered - Flux 05.12.2006 14:02 #10, it is easy to do without getting off the couch. As soon as your controller connects to the system, you can hit the Guide button and press the return to dashboard button. Takes about 5 seconds in all, so adding some convoluted method of starting up to the dashboard doesn't really make sense. Especially since this IS a console, and starting into the game is what 99% of people want. As for the update, it sounds great. Especially since most people were just asking for the ability to play music or browse the marketplace while downloads were going. Having 6 concurrent downloads and the ability to play games at the same time is above and beyond what would be "passable". Makes me appreciate MS's XBox team. former questionmark 05.12.2006 14:20 you probably shouldn't be leaving discs in the system when you're not playing anyway. some games tend to warp and struggle when you do that. used to do it when i first got halo on xbox. after that the game would act up and the disc started to discolor. triniwi 05.12.2006 14:29 I hope they update the dvd playback, and add some more function to it. Unregistered - famo 05.12.2006 14:32 How can you play music off of the media player and play games at the same time? Every time I exit media player the music stops. I am streaming from my computer on xbox's media center. How can I? triniwi 05.12.2006 14:38 I hope they update the dvd playback, and add some more function to it. former questionmark 05.12.2006 15:11 hit the guide button after the game starts up. scroll down to select music, then choose hard drive or computer. you can adjust the volume and set it up to shuffle from the guide menu also. if you start the music first, when the game starts, it shuts off. Unregistered - ee 05.12.2006 15:13 Phil Harrison can suck on my nuttz and taste tea for days! All Sony ever does is down play the competition and start console wars! This guy has a pshycological effect on his fans which is sad because he looks like one of those aliens that had there show years back the cone heads! Sony your going down and charging to much for nothing! Unregistered - shotty 05.12.2006 17:29 Oh I know what the mysterious feature is. The ability to fastforward and rewind through downloaded videos and personal music. I know it's a basic feature but MS had to cut it out at the last minute because there was issues with it. PS. It would be great to disable game boot ups. I sometimes like to check the marketplace before I play a game. PSP has the same problem so I enabled gaming ratings and sent it to rated E. So when I turn on my psp it will say enter password since all my games (I have 2 games NFS and GTA) are rated T or M and therefore doesn't go through the long boot up. PS. great job MS on the marketplace content but try speeding up on the arcade content. Unregistered - LMAO 05.12.2006 18:08 It'd be great if I can queue downloads and if there's a feature where the system shutdown after everything is download. Unregistered - Ken 05.12.2006 18:19 It would be great if MS have marketplace for friendly as far as finding content...maybe just having movie trailers as one catagory and game trailers under another and music then demos..and even go as far as having a search engine to find content right away..I think the secret is that the marketplace is getting its own blade......it would make sense. Unregistered - Buku 05.12.2006 18:50 I have read that will be coming as well... Perhaps not in this update, but it was discussed by I believe Major Nelson. Unregistered - sebastien 05.13.2006 00:31 ...add an arcade blade and an option to go to dashboard when you power on + dates for downloads in market place. please and thanks THELANDSOFSAND 05.13.2006 02:36 please, please add a feature where the xbox remebers the volume setting for the MP3 player! I am so damn sick of having to reset it everytime i put music on. oh and would it really be so hard for microsoft to let me connect a win XP pc to the 360 fully for hard drive sharing and music and photo copying?!! it's their own damn software for god's sakes! (and NO, NOT STREAMING! I want XP PC to 360!) Unregistered - chaz 05.14.2006 17:44 you guys are great... i go to sleep during the downloads.. test drive took for ever.. to . . . . down . . .......load. why?? does it take so long???? but i am glad to hear the good news. Unregistered - Asylumchild P.B.P 05.14.2006 19:09 YES!!!! $finaly$ Unregistered - CM 05.15.2006 10:27 COOOOOOOOKIIIIEEEEEEESSSSSS!!! Chocolate chip macadamia nut please thank you Jeebus Add Comment |
