Perry May 12, 2006 - Ubisoft officially would not comment on a possible Xbox 360 version. Additionally, Microsoft sources who asked not to be mentioned by name, claimed the demo, hidden behind closed doors at E3, was running on an Xbox 360 using a third-party USB PlayStation controller. The game system was hidden in a stand covered by a sheet. Again, Ubisoft officials would not comment. We'll have more soon. Yes you heard correct they were running a demo for a ps3 exclusive that they've yet to announce for the 360 ON an 360 covered up under a sheet. I believe...omegaheat 05.12.2006 20:59 Considering the misleading advertising that we recieve from third party publishers these days, I can't see any reason why this wouldn't be truth. I am talking about multi-platform titles. I have seen dozens of commercials which show images of the Xbox/Xbox360 version of a game, but at the end of the commercial it misleads the consumer by adverising with either a Playstation2 logo or a Playstation2 box art. Sometimes at the end of the commercial you may see the other platforms labeled with tiny logos at the bottom of the screen, but the box art will always be for the Playstation2. So considering that the Xbox360 does have a USB port, it makes it compatable with multiple devices. You can even use a wired Xbox360 controller for your PC. So go figure. But damn, this Assassins Creed story is going to get real ugly. 2 -

Sony probably paid for an exclusive release on the PS3 for a limited time (with a 360 launch to follow a few months later). Sent mine out for repairs, got it back 2 days later and im in the midwest. Buying an xbox360 would be a very wise choice this time around. 10 -
Unregistered - no problems 05.12.2006 22:53 I have had a 360 since February of this year and I have never had a single problem with it. Of course, I have it set up correctly (ie. - off the floor, no vents obstructed, etc.) Over-heating was the one problem I had heard of with a few of the first batches released. If you want one, get it. The 360 is an awesome machine. 11 -

About the whole xbox360 having bugs thing, i dout its any more abundant than any other consumer electronic device, especially in the first year of production. I bought a 360 back in febuary and have had no problems with it. I will get a PS3 eventually but not at launch. $600+ games and accessories is alot of cheese, and being that i start collage in the fall I will have to drop my cash into a nice laptop being that im a computer science major. 14 -

asdf 05.13.2006 05:38 I'm not sure who misled you about GTA 4, but it wasn't Microsoft: they keep saying that there will be EXCLUSIVE EPISODIC CONTENT via Xbox Live, they NEVER said it would be only on the 360. Of course, it appears that it will be available earlier for the 360 if the release dates are accurate: GTA4 is out in mid-October, and PS3 won't release until mid-November (presumably with GTA as a launch title). 20 -

So why would IGN be so dumb to report news like this. Did anybody notice how this year on G4Tv they wasn't so excited like last year about the PS3. Not even that bogus Final Fantasy XIII that they been showing with bars and all the hit points like if that game was actually playable. Meanwhile, despite heavy competition from such Xbox 360 games as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War and Assassin's Creed, Super Mario Galaxy's spot-on control and superb level designs earned it my pick for Game of the Show. By the way, it looks pretty damned good, too. If I had to pick a runner-up, it'd go to Bioshock, whose unbelievable concept and oozing atmosphere set it a notch above most everything else. 24 -

If you want to buy a xbox 360 go ahead and buy one their are no problems with it. Mine was made in october and it runs perfect. Ask anyone that has actually own a xbox 360 and they will recommened it, it bads things you hear on the internet are from the fanboys that don't own the console themselves. Every single person I know that has bought an xbox 360 has had no problems with it. The x360 is a really solid piece of technology as long as you don't drop it into a tub of water or drag it off the back of your truck it will run beautifully. 28 -

Unregistered - 360 05.15.2006 17:20 Hey, has anyone seen the ps3 premium edition in black with the controller, man it loooook sooo sweet. But i keep thinking two things. Altho the console looks soo soo sooo sweet and have a 60gb harddrive, it dont allow you to rip cds and make custom soundtracks, and the controller looks awesome, but lacks vibration i was like that killed it for me. Ohh that and the sixhundred dollar price tag. So after all that, i find myself really taking a deep appreciation for my 360. Im a music fantic, i got it all on my pc, all in my ipod, all on my cell phone, in my car, everywhere and the fact that i can do it on my 360 is just icing on the cake, and with the wireless controller that ms have i mean its just awesome so i cant even see me buying a ps3 now. I just adore my 360. Sony will have music capabilities but i dont know for a fact if they'll have the ingame music playback. 43 -

Though i will end up getting a PS3 because some of my favorite game series is on the Playstions, the X-Box 360 is first my my console list(PS3 will have to wait till next year ^.^ ). As for the Assassins Creed running on 360..i wouldnt get all to worked up on it. Everything about it is based on rumours and conjectures ( probably started by a 360 fanboy).
