According to VE3D, there are currently no plans to bring UT2007 to the Xbox360. This seems foolish considering the game would do well on the system.

Sony has paid a heafty fee for this to not be on the XBOX 360. I mean with it's pc release but not Xbox 360?? Unregistered - yo 05.15.2006 15:21 With the problems the PS3 is having, I don't think Sony will have 1 million units by Xmas, IF it doesn't get delayed again. Sony must have thrown a ton of money to get UT 2007 a timed exclusive. The sales for UT 2007 will be abismal for the first few months of the PS3 life since there will be hardly any units on the market and UT 2007 isn't a top tier game. I see UT 2007 coming to the 360 a few months after PS3 launch. Otherwise Epic will have wasted development costs. 7 -

FreeMonk 05.15.2006 20:45 I think UT2007 is exclusive to PS3. Remember E3 2005, they had that Unreal demo? That there pretty much summed it up. My guess is that Epic said to MS, what do you want? Gears of War or UT2007? In which MS replied - Gears of War, because MS new it was a fresh new francise, something that MS is trying to do for the 360 instead of sequals after sequals. Also, if the PS3 release date slips back to 2007, I can see Epic announcing this for 360, because they'll want to be promoting UT2008 in 2007, not pushing an older version out. Last theory of mine is that because of the Sony online thing is apparently open ended, maybe they can get PC and PS3 gamers playing together, where with the 360 it is pretty hard. With FF11 you had to use Squares Online crap, and with the forcoming Huxley, you'll only be able to do so much, it's not fully intergrated. Choose one. 23 -

Plus, we have plenty of FPS's arriving this year and next that will fill UT2007 gap anyway, from Halo 3 to Prey, Rainbow Six Vegas to Bioshock plus all the others, I think X-Box gamers will survive somehow. 26 -
Unregistered - yo 05.15.2006 22:38 Freemonk - at E3 MS announced Live Anywhere in addition to cross platform games between the PC and the 360. It's not that hard since both run on MS operating systems. Such games include Shadowrun, Alan Wake, etc. and a rumors such as Warhammer. 27 -

I'd just heard that for 360 and PC gamers to play together, things had to be dropped, with the main example being the game Huxley. Apparently, with Huxley, the 360 version only has one city where as the PC version has 3-4, plus we can't play against the PC gamers, they can only give us missions etc. Not sure how much of this is true, as it's hard keeping up with all the games that are being released. The only problem I can see with FPS gaming between 360 and PC are that the PC gamers are surely going to have a major advantage because they get to use the mouse and keyboard which is a better accuracy, compared to us 360 users. Yeah, the 360 controller is excellent, but against a mouse, the accuracy isn't that good. Thanks for the info though! 28 -
