17 May 2006 17:53 | schnodder | Xbox 360 | Playstation 3 Xbox360News.com | Link to this article Speaking to Eurogamer this morning, a representative said: "At the moment, other formats of Assassin's Creed are unconfirmed." Which suggests they're at least considering an Xbox 360 release - despite stating that the game would only only be out on PS3 when it was first announced. Unregistered - haha 05.17.2006 18:31 shove it in ur @ss u f@g Unregistered - shotty 05.17.2006 18:46 It obvious it's coming for the xbox 360. The game was running on an xbox 360 at E3 in the sony booth. In the VIP booths, Ubisoft let everyone play the game using the xbox 360 controller. How more obvious is it. The xbox 360 is a delite to program for it's a fact. SO the game for the xbox 360 is more polished than the ps3 version that why they showed the x360 version at E3. I think sony paid them to make a time exclusive and not to announce the xbox 360 version until after the ps3 is released. But this got spoiled when a smarty e3 atendee pull the sheet off the front of the E3 booth reveiling that the game was running on the xbox 360. The funny thing was that this game was chosen by the media as the best looking game on the ps3. Then IGN published the article stating it was running on the xbox 360. Sony really got it up the uknow at E3. Unregistered - Wiitard 05.17.2006 18:52 wtf? i'll buy a 360 now for sure. This is the only reaction that E3 can ellicit for them! Unregistered - YO 05.17.2006 20:28 Yeah, it'll definately be on the 360. Ubisoft does not make a habit of not releasing games for multiple platforms. EA is the same way. Funny part is that it got best looking game at E3....for the PS3, yet it was running on a 360. That's classic. FreeMonk 05.17.2006 20:36 Yeah, it is quite ironic that this piece of graphical hardware (PS3), that is supposed to blow everything out of the water, is getting shown up by a 360. It's even more Ironic that the best looking game of E3 that was suppossed to be running on a PS3 was running on a 360. I'm not suprised that a 360 will be announced at some point, because Ubisoft always release titles on every format. Unregistered - ryan 05.17.2006 21:14 Unless Sony throws some major money around for an exclusive title, it just doesnt make sense NOT to release the game on the 360. I dont believe the game was shown on the 360. If anything, it was ran on a PC behind a curtain. FreeMonk 05.17.2006 21:45 I think it was running on a 360. For IGN to put that article up, and then be ripped down within minutes, shows that there has to be some truth behind it. If it was a small site that had no influence on E3, yeah I'd say it was fake, but IGN is a big part of the internet gaming world (along with Gamespot and 1up), so for them to lie about it, would be truly pointless. Unregistered - smarty pants 05.17.2006 21:56 Now I can use that $600 on other 360 stuff. Wait for the word from Ubisoft. FreeMonk 05.17.2006 22:11 If true, Without Assassin's Creed as a exclusive launch title for the PS3, the launch titles for the PS3 don't sound that impressive. Gran Turismo, MGS4, Devil May Cry 4, Unreal 2k6 and the handful of other titles are all ready for 2007, not November 2006. My guess is that there will be the always faithful Ridge Racer, Heavenly Sword (maybe, very buggy at E3), GTA4 which would of been out a full month on the 360, and a few sports titles. Not a good line up considering the price of the console. At least X360 had some great titles at launch. former questionmark 05.18.2006 02:28 gta4 is october 2007, not 2006. DOLBY DI GA TAL pf 05.18.2006 02:49 Assassin's Creed is a video game in development by Ubisoft. It was announced at E3 2006 that it will be released for the PlayStation 3 in 2007. As of yet, there is no official word from Ubisoft that the game is to be released for the Xbox 360. The game is being developed by many of the same people who helped make Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and began production as soon as the latter was completed. The game takes place during the Third Crusade. The gamer plays as a member the assassin sect Hashashin known as Altair (of Greek and Arabic origin, literally translates to "bird"). News has also circulated about a 'sci-fi twist', due to information from developer interviews, and some effects visible in trailers of the game. It is theorized that the historical setting may be a simulation, for purposes of training or other gain, being undertaken by an unknown group in the future. During a trailer shown at E3, the screen would glitch and go fuzzy at times, and at one point where Altair is killed, the screen fades to black and then shows a head's up display with the words 'computer offline'. Ubisoft have confirmed Assassin's Creed will be part of a trilogy, and have also stated that one or both of the sequels will have a futuristic setting. One of the most talked about features of the game is the ability to get around the game world. Assassin's Creed will allow new levels of freedom for the player. The player will be able to grab onto and climb 'any object that sticks out more than 2 inches'. The game will also be completely free-roaming, which has led to comparisons with Grand Theft Auto and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Assassin's Creed was featured in E3 2006, where a new system of gameplay was revealed. Only two trailers have been released so far. It is unclear whether either of the released trailers were rendered in real-time or pre-rendered, though the former is more likely as Greg Kasavin of Gamespot has expressed his opinion that the graphics in the hands-on demo that he played were similiar to that of the trailer. so far there's info on Spore,Halo 3 {always look for the clearer picture} Add Comment |
