If you want to just try out a game, then borrow it from a friend that has it and if you have no friends, rent it. ITS 5 BUCKS! Not gunna kill you to splurge. Plus I have no doubt that when they find your hacked 360 they will ban your serial number from customer support and Live forever. 6 -

LMFAO!!! its HARDDRIVE firmware ! you ship it to them you dont send the harddrive. you can take it off at anytime. you can probably play the game then once it run remove the hd and insert a memory card then connect to live like that!! its going to pzzown. 8 -

Unregistered - J 05.18.2006 11:03 #8, it's not harddrive firmware, it's DVD drive firmware. You have to physically remove the dvd drive, flash the firmware using a computer, then re-install it. 10 -

360 hackUnregistered - Alxx 05.18.2006 16:22 Well for all the people who lives outside the US where games cost an arm and a leg, its worth doing the firmware hack, no matter which angle you look at it from... unless of course you have too much money. Even if you dont have an internet connection... its better to get £5 copies from the dodgy chinese guy we all know. A 2nd hand core 360 console costs £170 with a 6 months guarantee from 'GAME', and games costs £45-£50 each. You do the maths. Getting it hacked means i would get every game out there. Risking getting banned is worth it. And its not like the console is worthless if they ban you. There is always Xlink :) 5 games on xbox live, or 50 on Xlink. I know which one i would choose.... and thats only IF they start banning people. 14 -

Trust me hacking will be close to non-existent because MS actually made a solid defense on the 360. And you only run into it like 5% of the time on the xbox 1. And each 360 is different to hack so no sell out can just slap a peice of hardware on and call themself a hacker....you dopes. 16 -

WTF!Unregistered - speed 05.22.2006 13:39 what's funny to me is how they advertise the 360 as being so innovative and able to integrate with your media center, streaming video etc. all of this was done previously on the original Xbox through mods and homebrew, do you guys realize that?! sorry, saving thousands upon thousands is worth it to most people who aren't born into wealth. there will ALWAYS be ways around security, nothing is 100% secure. honor and integrity died way before WWII my friends, case in point, look at how long the Illuminati has managed to fuc* the world up.
