Team Xtender are set to continue their Xbox 360 cooling quest by developing a new high speed cooler for the console.
The new cooler will plug directly into your Xbox 360 via one of the USB ports, keeping you abreast of the current temperature at all times; with LEF lights flashing away like madmen should anything be happening that shouldn't.

My xbox is kept in my TV stand, next to my pc monitor with about one inch of space around it, i play all day, bout the system in december and it has NEVER had ANY problems with overheating. They need to quit making these as they are unecessary and perpetuate a myth about the 360's overheating. Oh and in my opinion, a new cooler isn't news. 3 -

xbox 360Unregistered - xbox 360 05.20.2006 15:33 I dont understand, about people saying that the 360 gets hot or over heats, i mean i had mine since launch and never ever had it get hot or overheat and i play it for hours on in just like i do my ps2. If they do overheat im glad mine dont. Im also thinking that as MS produces the new one's they should work out the kinks that the initial one's had. But once again i dont have those problems. 5 -
Trickedbullet 05.20.2006 15:40 My 360 gets hot. If I feel the vent in the back of it, it blows out hot air equivilant to my houses heating but has not yet overheated. The power supply only gets warm, never hot. I do not plan on buying such things unless overheating becomes a problem. 6 -

I bet they dont even have a 360 that they are testing these collers on so how do they know its getting hot and over heating. I bet no one else is having overheating problems with their 360 which is why they would spend time and money creating an add-on to make it run cooler. its all just a conspiracy. Just like how easy it is to find a 360 in the stores now. I went to 4 stores today (Bestbuy, target, walmart and Game crazy) and All of them had plent of 360s premium and core. Keep in mind that I too had my 360 since launch 05. No overheating issues at all, my 360 works fine, right now im playing GRAW and I play for hours in multiplayer and no problems so i really dont understand why people think that the 360 has heating issues, oh and i want to get another one but i want it in black so im hoping that in time MS will make other colors. Unregistered - charger 05.21.2006 21:04 hot air coming out is good. that means it is nice and cool inside. just go outside and feel the air blowing out of your a/c unit...it is hot. go back in your house...it is cool. the 360 pulls in cool air and blows out hot air. that is why the 360 is not hot to the touch. and we haven't even talked about the liquid cooling system that is also in that baby. that being said...your 360 is nice and safe. it has more tech than any computer going right now. so becareful of these companies trying to cash in on these overheating rumors. some of these devices, like the inter cooler, might just stress out the stock fans inside. you need none of this crap. and these sony guys don't know, they don't even have one. they are still waiting for their ps3, that may or may not happen this year. and if a sony ho talks on here...have disipline and don't respond. that just gives them fire and motivation to fire back. 41 -

I accidentily lest it on over night after running all day and I imagine it was on 14-16 hours.. Nyko Intercooler has improved things (Oblivion)Unregistered - speed 05.22.2006 13:49 not sh*tting anyone here. I was having major problems with Oblivion (game freezes, audio cutout, disk scratches). after replacing the game for the 4th time from Best Buy, I also bought the intercooler. after about 15hrs of play I have not seen ANY glitches whatsoever and have not had any scratches on the disk. I swear I think even the load times are slighlty improved. So either the 4th disk was engineered differently or the intercooler is helping or some combination of the two. absolutely no other changes to my setup changed. it is well worth the $20 if you are seeing ANY issues with your games or system.
