My wife and kids don't play Quake4, but they may be interested in this. Granted, I've seen previews, but for this experiment to get my money, it needs a XBL demo and great reviews. Maybe a used copy for $35? $29? gCM 3 -

Overall there are excellent mo-cap, animations, and sharp character models. 8.0 Sound Crackling ping ping sound effects, a wide range of crowd sounds, and a subtle, slick soundtrack. As always, Rockstar delivers good sound. 8.5 Gameplay Excellent control, precision mechanics, and sharp gameplay. This is where the game shines. 6.0 Lasting Appeal No features of any kind. The biggest missing feature is a single-player campaign, although the multiplayer modes are skimpy too. Just like everything else, the replay value is spare. 13 -

Yes, the modes are spare, but I can tell that I'll be spending a LONG time trying to beat all four tournaments (easy, medium, hard, and expert), and, if you have friends, this is a better head-to-head experience than any fighting game I've ever played. It's exciting, it's addictive, the graphics are great, I would have paid 60 for it. Also, that ign review is not great, but it's only one review. Check out http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/tabletennis for some more perspectives on it. I really think that the difficulty level of the computer opponents makes this have far more lasting appeal than ign thinks. 22 -
Agree with #21Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.24.2006 09:17 I purchase this game yesterday. Was a little hesitant at first but I did it anyway and I could say I'm happy I did. The game may lack stuff like career mode or create a character. But it shines in gameplay. When you do certain moves the game gives you a Max Payne slow down when your ready to hit the ball, it kind of makes you feel like your doing something special.Too compare this with Top Spin Tennis is a shame. This game is way better than Top Spin. Top Spin 2 is the type of game with out any excitement, while this game shows alot of emotion with the characters. Even the graphics of the game looks better than Top Spin. Rockstar knows how to make games and I bet if this game does good then they probably will add the other features in a sequel game like career mode and create a character. If you have the money and you want a party game I suggest this one. You can't go wrong. 23 -
