Of the games at E3 2006 that raised eyebrows, BioWare's Mass Effect stood out just as prominently as Gears of War. This ambitious sci-fi action RPG is without question the closest the industry has come to actually producing a game that looks just as cinematic as a film.

I want Lost Planet, GOW, Saints Row, SOMETHING DAMNIT! I was just looking at the ALLEN WAKE screens and all I can say is OMG.. The Allen Wake game is going to kick a@@!!! Turn baseUnregistered - maz 05.24.2006 13:20 Why do we have to have RPG's that are turn based any more? It seems so dated. I just hate waiting for the inevitable victory, unless its a Boss. Jade empire was such a breath of fresh air for RPG’s; they should evolve this fighting system rather than the KOTOR. This game still looks cool. 7 -

No KOTOR 3 announcement at E3 ? This godsend of a game will definetly hold me over but when will I see Knights of the Old Republic 3? Any guess 9 -

Sounds like you take turns to hit each other. Which to me is turn based whether it has some real time bits or not. But if you disagree then please inform me what turn base means. 10 -

Real TimeUnregistered - Vincent 05.24.2006 15:24 KOTOR was sorta real time. Turn based would be like Final Fantasy where every party member attacks while the defending party sits there bouncing up and down. That definetley is not the combat in KOTOR or Jade Empire. 12 -

KOTOR was the greatest game made to date. They screwed up Jade bad. They replaced game play with graphics. It was repetitive and boring... looked nice though. 14 -

@ 9Unregistered - l 05.24.2006 16:57 Well, my understanding is that you have real time fighting (over the shoulder view, like splinter cell) and that there is squad based strategy map in which you give command to others (like ghost recon), where time is "frozen" until command is issued, but there is no turn based system. 16 -
