Read More Add Comment samonmoose 05.24.2006 14:25 the game is fugliness, the jap developers (other than creators of lost planet) seem 2 have no intention of making the effort with the 360. Its bland, last gen, xbox level crap, halo 2 looks 10 times better than this piece of poo pie. silent ninja 05.24.2006 14:42 calm down it may not be the best in the graphic dept but if the gameplay is fluid and not repetative then its ok.i might get this game simply to have different gaming experience. mind you no gameplay has been shown and pic's don't do a game justice. besides the pic's aren't that bad i've seen worse than these on topic: the city looks empety i hope they increase the # of enemies on screen at once. peace Unregistered - Fuzz McDeath 05.24.2006 15:23 Apart from a few Japanese developers (Kojima, Square-Enix, Itagaki, etc.) they just don't seem to care as much about graphics - they keep using the same old tired engines. This appears to be changing somewhat, as several have purchased licenses for Unreal Engine 3, but even still they don't know what to do with them (look at how shoddy Frame City Killer looked - even with UE3's power it was rather last gen). Its not just 360 getting no love, look at Fatal Inertia from Koei - pretty bland stuff. Unregistered - Prospero666 05.24.2006 15:38 Read a book! Get a life! There are more to games than graphics. I am so sick of hearing "this is not next gen" that I am thinking of starting a revenge list. So watch out, or you'll be on it! Right after Santa Claus, God and George W. Unregistered - yo 05.24.2006 15:44 The title of my post says it all. This game looks like poo. But hey, even poo can be recycled to make the plants grow. Unregistered - shotty 05.24.2006 16:22 Its idiots like you that keeps the japanese developers away. Japanese developers would rather use the story to capture your interest rather than graphics. Ya graphics are important but no matter how good the game looks if the story sucks then the game will fail. Some japanese developers do both like what they did with Lost planet and Dead rising. Unregistered - simple 05.24.2006 16:37 um let's keep this simple the more games regardless of genre coming to the 360 is a GOOD THING. If you don't like the game you simply don't spend your money on it, just because you won't doesn't mean someone else won't. I want games on the 360 to come from developers from all over the world. Not just the US and Europe c'mon the more games the merrier for us and 360 gamers. I wish KONAMI would come back out with a sequel to JACKAL for the 360 that game would be sweet. OR maybe bring back BLADES OF STEEL I have a huge list of konami and capcom games i would like to see on 360 oh can't forget MEGAMAN that would cool to. Unregistered - Gamer 05.24.2006 16:40 a Bloodrayne rip off cause it has the look to me like it's a sort of spin off... Im not impressed with this title, things could change... but as of now thats how it stands! Unregistered - Carmike 05.24.2006 17:00 The reason these Jap developers are producing games with crapy visuals is because they are to busy molesting children. Its a known fact that the Japs love to molest kids, its why we went to war with them in WWII. Now if they could keep their hads and cranks out of kids poop shoots they could put out a visualy stunning game. Unregistered - Vincent 05.24.2006 17:18 That is one of the most foolish , mean spirited , racist post of all time. Congrats you are a total jackass poster # 9. UNCALLED FOR ! MODS! SECURITY! ANYBODY! help Unregistered - Next what? 05.24.2006 17:41 There are some interesting posts here, and while I agree gameplay is key to a successful game.....if nobody buys/plays it what does it matter. Traditionally poor graphics usually go hand in hand with poor gameplay (there are always exceptions to this). So this begs the question, if the developer (Japanese or not) cannot be bothered to spend the time to create a graphically appealing title, how much time are they going to devote to gameplay? With all this talk about next gen (whatever that means) development 'spinning out of control' titles like this beg the question....where is the money going? As it stands it does not appear to be going to a new engine, or to improved textures, advanced models, or (after watching the trailer) advanced physics. Why then would I as a consumer, or anyone else, pay a next gen fee for it (you can bet your bottom yen that this thing will retail for 59.99 U.S.)? Simple answer.....I won't! This may all change if a demo proves it to be an appealing title! Unregistered - R2FUK-U 05.24.2006 19:20 Visually games may get a lot better over time, did anyone see the early videos for test drive ? they looked terrible like a first gen ps2 game running at 20 fps. samonmoose 05.25.2006 09:24 I think most of u are missing the point to my post, there is no graphics versus gameplay issue here so dont turn it into 1. My point is that today with the size of development teams, the support offered by microsoft and the ability of the hardware itself; there is no reason why the games being made should not have next-gen qualities to all of its respective dimensions. Its incredible the excuses that we are willing to create for the benefit of lazy developers, they wouldnt show the same tolerance if u were tasked with fitting their kitchen and it looked hideous but was made with the finest quality cherry wood (minus working taps ;)). Its our choice as to whether or not we buy the bad titles out there, but that does not mean we should not voice our distaste to the fact that they exist or the developers apparent abstenence of the 360's next gen rendering capabilities.
