IF i had a 360?Unregistered - Mo 05.25.2006 11:56 I'm just curious... from what I said above, how do you conclude that I don't have a 360? In fact, how would I play the demo without one? I DLed it last night buddy. I got a LG DLP HDTV and that's the main reason I'm griping about this port so much. I personally find it offensive spending $500+ on a supposed "next-gen" system that allows developers to just export at a higher resolution. I'm bored with my launch titles. I want more. I know my opinions are harsh, but that's what i love about message boards, I can vent without restriction. 4 -

Games are typically designed on one platform and ported to another, regardless of when they are released. It would cost development companies far too much money to recreate a game from scratch on every console they want to release on. This game is obviously a port, either that, or EIDOS has no idea how to leverage the 360's power. 8 -

^^^Not the Point^^^Unregistered - Mo 05.26.2006 12:05 I didn't mind mediocre graphics before the advent of HDTV. Listen, it's very simple. $3000 is one hell of an investment for me, a middle class white collar. The 360 is the first to take us to an all-HD, all-5.1 surround enviroment. That's what I got excited about, that's why I bought a 360, and that's why I HATE ported platforms. The fact is HD exposes bad graphics, and takes me out of the experience of total game emersion. I don't care if Hitman is fun to play, I want it to be visually stunning in every way, with gameplay taking a backseat. I'm sorry if you disagree, but when you shell out that kind of your own money, you want the BEST. and this isn't it. Anyway, thanks for helping me kill time at work. You guys are alright. Yes, this is a port.Unregistered - Xgamer 05.28.2006 21:06 Doesnt matter that it came out the same day as every other game. It's a port over, meaning it's original game was desinged for the ps2 and xbox (non next gen. systems) then it was mearly taken and ported over to the XBOX 360 without being designed for this next gen system. Thus "port". Still it's ok and fun to play. But "N O" more ports!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Add Comment |
