29 May 2006 07:53 | schnodder | Xbox 360 Xbox360News.com | Link to this article According to the IMDb, the Halo movie has been pushed back from its original summer 2007 release schedule to sometime in 2008. This is the first time that the movie is listed as a 2008 release by a serious publication such as the IMDb. Read More Add Comment Unregistered - Uh OH 05.29.2006 09:42 Anyone think that this is a precursor to the game also being delayed? Bungie usually takes a REALLY long time developing (how long was Halo 1 in dev?) I am concerned that trying to rush Halo 3, we will end up with another shoddy single player game ?(halo 2). I really want to have an experience like that of Halo 1, NOT Halo 2! Unregistered - s 05.29.2006 11:34 Halo is being released in 07 nuff said! Movie has nothing to do with the game. Unregistered - as 05.29.2006 11:36 They were working on H3 with H2, 2 1/2-3 years is long enough for this game. THAMMER1 05.29.2006 11:52 http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/hissyfit.html Unregistered - shotty 05.29.2006 12:58 Serious why does bungie take so long with their games we know they have a huge staff. Look at GRAW, Oblivion, Gears of War, forza 2 all those games look beautiful and they are being released this year. Unregistered - Scrooge 05.29.2006 13:15 I don't think Oblivion is a good example in this case, it took bethesda four years to make it. Unregistered - GeorgeofWar 05.29.2006 20:29 Bungie needs to launch Halo 3 year 2008! I want this game to be perfect, Bungie do not listen to the people they're fuk1ng idiotz Xbox 360 is getting good games anyways Gears of War, Mass Affect, Fable 2, Lost Planet, Too Human, RE5, Blue Dragon, Forza 2. And I don't see the reason why Bungie should not delayed Halo 3 for 2008. The only reason Halo 2 was rushed was because Xbox was selling poor, and also it had hardly any good games. BUT NOW IS DIFFERENT! Microsoft has more support from Japan and a stronger 1st lineup of games. so please don't rush Halo 3 take all the time to make it perfect. FreeMonk 05.29.2006 21:59 Halo 3 in 2008?? Oh come on! Bungie have been developing Halo 3 since they shipped Halo 2, and probably even before that. Bungie were probably the first team of people to get DEV kits for the X360. They've upped there staff, upped work load. They have said that they are actually testing Multiplayer games at the moment. This is a whole year and probably more before the game ships. I think that Halo 3 will ship in November 2007, same date as Halo 2 shipped. I say that because it's definatly not going to be out before E3 2007, because that is going to be MS's biggest show off title of that year. That give Bungie 1.5 years to produce the best game possible. Now if Bungie actually did cut Halo 2 short, a majority of the single player would of been completed. Now all they have to do is tweak, change and update the graphics. Plenty of time to do that before the launch. With time to spare! Somehow, I don't think Bungie will mess this up. They messed up the single player last time, but Multiplayer still rules on Halo 2. Let's just hope that the X360 doesn't get hacked before the release, because if so, it's back to Hacking Halo again! Unregistered - shotty 05.30.2006 22:35 The game is roughly done. They are currently polishing it and uping the engines and tweaking it. Like all the levels are pretty much done with placeholders and they need to replace them with actual in-game objects. I can't see it getting delayed into 2008. Unregistered - Matty oH 05.31.2006 09:52 What are you guys taking about? it clearly said 'The Halo MOVIE' not the game! Anyway, seriously think the movie should've been about the prequel, that would've been an amazing film. if you read the book by Eric Nyland you would know what I'm talking about. Unregistered - ChUnk 05.31.2006 14:08 halo 3 was looking at a november release 2007 in the article it says the movie and game will be a 2007/2008 winter release. in other words its a 2 or 3 month longer wait no big deal Add Comment |
