There has been a lot of hype about PGR3, but that isn’t the only racer that will be available at launch. So before you place that pre-order at least wait until Tokyo Game Show opens its doors next week where Namco’s Ridge Racer 6 will be shown to the public for the very first time. According to the latest issue of Famitsu Magazine we are not talking about some running tech demo, but the game will be on the show floor, fully playable. In case you have been living under a rock for the last 10 years, a next-gen Ridge Racer game can easily take pole position in the race for your money. About Ridge Racer 6 R6 will let players compete head to head in online races and download new content via Xbox Live. This is the first time that the Ridge Racer franchise offers online play. Utilizing a Worldwide Player Matching system, players can match up against drivers from around the world in head-to-head drift racing match ups. Players can also upload their personal records from the game’s Time Attack mode to see how they stack up against the rest of the world in a persistent Leader Board and download ghost data to virtually race against friends or test their skills against the best in the world. To complement the online Ridge Racer 6 community, new game content such as new cars will periodically be made available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game will be available for the Xbox 360 at launch in North America TGS Xbox 360 List (Title / Publisher, exhibit format)  Add Comment  1 -

The third game Rage Racer was great, and RR4 was also ok. RR5 was disappointing, but the recent PSP Ridge Racer is maybe the best RR ever. RR6 can easily become the best racer on the 360 if Namco gets it right. 3 -

The xbox 360 brings nothing new to gaming, it's the same old games as last gen with a new lick of paint. The PS3 will at least have the better franchises like the PS2 had, but with better graphics and the Revolution iwll do what none of the others do and actually try and take the gameplay experience further. I seriousely see no reason to buy a 360, all this hub-bub about it is only hyp admit it. You take one look at white ipod - looking system and controller, and you suddenly think it's destined to be great? You think the hardware will be leaps and bound above PS3? yet PS3 has the better games and exclusive franchises, the best Xbox ever had was Halo, and it's sequel was a joke. How much of a shit computer must you have to think halo 2 is the best multiplayer FPS? Anyway whatever. 5 -

What are we one Mario Party 69, Mario World 76, Mario Baseball, Donkey Kong Shower 4. Sony has their Final Fantasy 45, XenoSOMETHING 54, they are all guilty of it. As far as what will be better Sony has no definative plans for what you will buy yet as a PS3... you are compairing numbers and a few movies you saw at a show on a predev system PS3. I agree about Japan... I say forget Japan anways they like their own thing... the rest of the world gets into other things... Japan will always get off on their badly drawn cartoon characters who are about 14 years old with HUGE swords in a childish post-apocalypic setting that still has dragons, then you put in 50 minigames and some crap techno pop or 80s metal and itll be a hit. Either that or make yet another dancing game where people can look like idiots playing it. If you want to excercise I recommend a gym... not a video arcade... anyways.... Ridge Racer looks good too... we will see when they come out which really emerges as the best of the 1st generation driving game for XB360... I am sure they are working on TOCA and FORZA for it already.... those will be outstanding in the snd generation auto racing titles, if they stay as strong as they were on Xbox. 6 -
