Unregistered - ryan 05.30.2006 00:01 So I can run Ghost Recon and Fight Night flawlessly online, yet a 15 year old arcade game chokes?? How is that even possible? Most SFII fans already own a copy somewhere...the only reason to purchase a copy for 360 would be for online play. I'm sure Capcom realizes this, but if the online play isn't flawless there will be a ton of backlash... I'm looking forward to seeing where I rank amongst other Vega users... 6 -

Arcade is getting staleUnregistered - Slow 05.30.2006 11:01 MS better wake up and start posting some content soon! Nintendo is producing an entire virtual console with back titles from Turbografx, Sega, SNK, not to mention the previous Nintendo classics etc etc and all we get is a slow trickle of crap. They have been talking about Street Fighter for what, 6 months now?? I mean how freaking hard is it? I want what was shown at E3!! I want to play, and would PAY for Galaga, Pac-Man, Ms Pac etc....but it better be posted soon. There were ZERO release dates discussed at the conference for these titles! What is taking so damn long? If this is going to be standard practice, do us a favor MS and DONT TALK ABOUT the upcoming releases until they are closer to being posted!! The only Frnzy for arcade is Feeding Frenzy and I think we could all have been better off without that crap title even being posted! 13 -

At the rate new content is being posted to Live Arcade it will be 2010 before we see the releases mentioned during E3! Speaking of content....where the hell is the Chromehounds demo that was sent to MS the week of E3!?! In all seriousness MS needs to speed up the posts across the board. It should not take weeks to prep and post a live demo of any kind. Meanwhile we get crap like UFC posted!? Don't bother MS, don't bother! Don't get me wrong I love Live and the new content, but it is simply too slow with updates! Another example is the proposed spring update to the dash. Talked about for months, shown to all the major game sites, yet STILL not available for download!? What the hell is the delay, the update is 100k?!?! wii virtual consoleUnregistered - bladestar 05.30.2006 11:30 I don't understand why someone would be interested in Nintendo’s virtual console. I think it is just stupid to wait to pay for a game you can always download and play with an emulator. Why wait or pay when you can get it now and for free? I downloaded like 4 emulators and hundreds of games, and trust me it gets boring to play old games. Nintendo said it; these games will not look better nor play better. There will be no online play with these. Let’s see how long people can play games made 20 years ago. People shouldn't compare the virtual console with Xbox live arcade games since the virtual console games lack the one thing most people want, multiplayer and global rank. 16 -

I agree that the live integration adds some components like multi player, high scores, and importantly achievements, but it simply takes an eternity to get these released! 17 -

I just don't think that the main reason why Microsoft should do so is because of Nintendo's virtual console; since what makes people buy a 360 and subscribe to Xbox live is [not] because people want to be able to play 1,000 old games. The Virtual Console will have a big library, I give them that, but it's not bringing anything new to the table but old memories when we used to spend time playing games like contra or Super Mario Bros. I still play these games from time to time, but I don't see how people will say, "I don't need Xbox live, I have everything I need with the virtual console." they are two different monsters. I think most people think that Nintendo's virtual console is Nintendo’s answer to Microsoft’s XBox live arcade. Xbox live is not where you go to play old games, virtual console is. I have a 360 and I will buy a wii because of the wiimote, Zelda and I might get some of these old games too. But, virtual console is no Xbox live arcade. 18 -

Unregistered - shotty 05.30.2006 14:13 MS is hording the arcade title. SF2 was done a long time ago it was playable at CES which was in January. I think they would rather launch a lot of title over the summer and fall then to launch it duing the E3 month. 20 -

FreeMonk 05.30.2006 22:50 What I'd like to see added to the Marketplace in the next couple of months: Arcade: Street Fighter 2 Live!, Galaga, Ms Pacman, Texas Hold 'em, Solitare, Jetpac, Marathon 1/2, Mortal Kombat, Castlevania - SOTN & free version off older Arcade titles. Demos: Chromehounds (well overdue), Dead Rising, Too Human, Gears of War, Ninety Nine Nights, Prey, Bioshock Trailers: New Extended Halo 3 trailer, Mass Effect (probably to big for a playable demo), Assassins Creed finally announced on 360 trailer, Final Fantasy announcment trailer. Resi 5 trailer, Devil May Cry 360 trailer. That's a few of the one's I'd like to see. 22 -

FreeMonk 05.30.2006 23:39 ^^ Sorry kid, but that just wouldn't work! Microsoft is a company that cares for it's customers. MS tells there customers exactly the way things are. Sony on the other hand are in it just for the buck. They lie about things to sell consoles. They provide smoke and mirrors around there console, so no one actually knows if they are telling the truth or not, and in every case it's been proven that they've lied to everyone. Microsoft and Nintendo on the other hand would be a match made in heaven. Both companies are out to provide it's customers with the best gaming experiences. Nintendo with it's innotive designs in hardware and software with Microsofts raw powers and massive catalogue of third party developers would make a deadly duo. 24 -

I will never play xbox..not the reason i love playstation..it is because that they have a lot of 1st person shooter that the reason i have no plan to buy one..and in singapore xbox 360 cost 600 dollars..i should just save the money to buy Wii =) well....im still a playstation fan..[maybe till wii come lol..] 25 -
