There will be no news posted in the next 3-4 hours due to a major site upgrade. We have for the past few months been working "secretly" on a major upgrade for all our game news sites. If everything goes as planed we will have the new website live later today.

Trickedbullet 05.31.2006 20:13 I have played the Outfit and have to say it is one fun game to play. I have not yet played Perfect Dark. I would have to say that Oblivion is probably the best game out so far. It is not on the PS3 and you need a beast of a computer to play it as good as the 360 version. You guys need to lighten up when it comes to game launches and stop crying about a lack of games. This gen of games is very different than any other. I for one am glad I am not being bombared with games as I am not rich enough to go out and buy each and every one of them. Heck, renting may be nice but you have to have a crap load of patience to wait for a game to be availible to you to rent. I use Gamefly (a wonderful service) and have saved quite a bit of money on games. Now, for those of you who are buying the ps3 only, WHY!!!!!!!!? I see no reason at all to purchase the Ps3. Even if the console wupped the 360, how could you put up with all of Sony's lies? Microsoft looks completely innocent compared to Sony in the Lie-out-the-@ss-and-make-money method. At least I can GET an answer from Microsoft. It may just be my luck, but every time I have attempted to Call sony or send an email I can never get a reply. Not even a "Sorry we cant help you" reply. NOthing, nadda, not even a "go to hell." I was apalled to learn that Sony made such terrible mistakes with the ps2. I know no one who has not had at least two or more ps2's because theirs stopped working. I cant even imagine having to buy the same console again just to play a new colored blue disk. What is up with that!? Yet so many people want that crap.If Microsoft had done that I would have killed somebody in my rage. Ubisoft had 1 person speak and he's over the ps3 development, what did you think he'd say about the ps3, I mean his job is on the line to make a good game for the system. It's a difficult system to design for it's underpowered rsx isnt pulling smooth rates w/the cell and we've all heard time and time again about the bottlenecking the ps3 does with anything that isnt 2D. I mean when a company has to dem on PC's or an XBOX 360 to play anything even slightly high pixeled then we know it's not all that and a bag of chips. It's underpowered and over priced. 7 + 1 core design is great for a PC but not a graphically powered console. The 256 ram rsx and it's design with the ps3 and cell isnt working out. It was a huge mistake to begin with, great for a PC but huge mistake for the ps3. bluray is ok has potential but not the potential as the HD-DVD has. Powerful and easily accesible is what designers want not slow and difficult. UBISOFT loves the XBOX 360 and will continue to show support as with SPLINTER CELL 4. It's our exclusive, and anything else the ps3 will get, well we'll probably get it too as it's already a given it will play better, faster and smoother on our system also well there still isnt a ps3 yet. Unregistered - benefit? 05.31.2006 21:41 Why do people always say that the games are benefiting from the blu ray? They are being hurt by it, there is no gaming reason to have the new format yet. With games the DVDs are still only half full on this generation because with every console upgrade the compression capabilities and methods improve as well. The only thing that is important in a game is the read speed since that shrinks load times and keeps the game running smoothly. The DVD drive in the 360 is 3-4 times faster a read speed than the PS3's blu ray drive, so why should i pay more for a crappier gaming experience. I think those two or three games that i have to switch discs for are worth the amount of time i will be saving waiting for a game to load and all that money i will be able to save from not buying into Sony's proprietary DRM ridden drive is an added bonus for me. 190 -
