Bizarre Creations has turned on the hype machine, and we are shamelessly falling for it. Yesterday we posted a video showing off in-game action for the first time, and needless to say we were all quite impressed with what we saw. Today we bring you 3 more videos, but enough with the talking as the videos clearly speak for themselves. Enjoy!Note: Our server is getting hammered, so please use this mirror for faster download - Mirror Download View Video 1 View Video 2 View Video 3 Source: Playerone.be Update: 3 More videos are now available http://files.filefront.com/pgr3gp1wmv/;4196789;;/fileinfo.html http://files.filefront.com/pgr3gp2wmv/;4196846;;/fileinfo.html http://files.filefront.com/pgr3gp3wmv/;4196890;;/fileinfo.html Mirror site - All three in a zip file at http://rapidshare.de/files/5712691/PGR3all2.zip.html Update: Another video can be found at Xbox World 360's blog http://xboxworldmagazine.blogspot.com/2005/09/exclusive-pgr3-video-here-now.html Add Comment Unregistered - venom nolatari 09.30.2005 09:56 Awsome!!! Unregistered - WildAttorney 09.30.2005 10:00 I'm getting more and more hyped about PGR3 (I have it pre-ordered). I expect we'll probably see a lot more videos like this as we get closer to X05 (only a week or so away). By the way, Rare has offered their insight on PDZ. I put up a post about it on my website (see below). The killer combination of PGR3 and PDZ will sell ALOT of Xbox 360s. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 10:07 All I can say is.... OMFG! Now that is a next-gen game if I've ever seen one. Look at the dirt on the window during the in car parts. Absolutely amazing. Glad I preordered this and PDZ. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 10:19 This has turned in to my must have on the first day.......but who knows how much better everything else will also look......yessssssssssssss PAUL CERULA 09.30.2005 10:20 This is definately next gen. These videos are what we've been waiting for. Now if only we could get some good PDZ one's directly off a hdtv to really see how it's going to be. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 10:21 GOTHAM TV WILL BE ADDICTTIVE AS HECK.......I CANT WAIT NOW REALLY NOV.22 SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT DAY ...ITS LIKE AN OFFICIAL HOLLIDAY FOER ME NOW... I can see the burn in already. Not to mention it comes from Dell. That is two strikes against it for a gaming TV. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 11:17 why cant i see or download shit on my new g5imac ffs Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 11:29 I agree with you on that one ....I would not use a plasma for games ....instead i would use a DLP or an LCD for way less money ...and a plasma has a shelf life ..i forget how many hours so that sucks...on a LCD you can always change the crystals.. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 11:48 Go to the pgr3 forums, and u can get all 6 videos! http://xboxworldmagazine.blogspot.com/ Has a little bit more footage and in a higher res! Unregistered - WildAttorney 09.30.2005 11:52 I would agree with the above comments and strongly urge against use of plasma with Xbox360 due to "burn in" effect. I have the Sony 70" LCD, love it, and would strongly recommend it--absolutely no burn in. You can usually get it online for less than $5,000 delivered. For Xbox 360, it seems like the perfect TV. SOO AMAZING PAUL CERULA 09.30.2005 12:43 Well just so I get this out there cause I'm really excited about the xbox 360. I'm going to get the Samsung 23 hdtv lcd, xbox 360 premium and recon, and 5.1. I strongly recommend this compulation for all college students. At least get the samsung 23 hdtv lcd because it has the best sound, best response, and best value. Unregistered - Coward 09.30.2005 12:49 spartan get the LE26R51BD samsung i have just got one for £650, they say if you get the 23" version the HD is not that noticable on your sweet new 360. Unregistered - WildAttorney 09.30.2005 12:53 I would concur with "Coward"/#23 above, Spartan. You will be kicking yourself later if you don't get a bigger screen. -- WildAttorney (www.spinning360.com) Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 13:08 I hear the DLP is better than the lcd because of the frame rate being slower...I think Im going with the DLP. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 13:13 With the inclusion of HD cables as standard, Itagaki hopes that people will end up making the move to HDTV. He suggests standard CRT over other types, devoting a lengthy rant to his displeasure with LCD televisions. Itagaki states that Team Ninja has “flagship class” LCD televisions throughout its offices, and he’s not impressed with any of them. The problem, he states, isn’t so much with response time, but with inaccurate color. Combine that with the high prices, and he comes to the conclusion: “buying a CRT is, as a gamer, a wise choice.” Itagaki is also sure to give some talk to sound, offering the hope that players will invest in a 5.1 system. Dead or Alive 4 is fully 5.1 compliant, and Team Ninja has even mixed separate surround and stereo tracks for some parts, including the ending movie. Itagaki was a bit surprised when the interviewer revealed that surround sound systems are down to about 200 bucks. On the note of high definition televisions, Famitsu Xbox 360 poses a question that we’ve all been wondering: what happens when you play DOA4 on a standard 4×3 television rather than a wide screen 16×9 screen? Itagaki feels that black borders are horrible and not good looking, which is why current generation Xbox games support both 4×3 and 16×9. “I could not take pride in using black areas on both sides of a wide television,” he states, “and I have no desire to have my fans play something in which I do no take pride.” While he’d like people to purchase a wide-screen television, he realizes that this is not an option everyone, and so DOA4 is being made to display in full screen on a standard 4×3 television. In other words, he jokes, the game is fully SD compliant (the joke is that current generation Xbox games were listed as being fully HD compliant). The interview turns to a discussion of the Xbox 360 hard disk. Responding to the question of what kind of effect the lack of a standard hard drive in America and Europe will have on his games, Itagakis states that he’s known for quite some time that Microsoft was looking into releasing a version of the system without the hard disk. “Without a hard disk,” he explains, “it’s difficult to do things like the Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack. There are also problems with caching.” He suggests that smooth startup sequences for games would be difficult. Also regrettable, he states, is that, minus a hard disk, he won’t be able to manage sound in the way Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball does now, where music is copied over from the game disk. However, those who plan on buying the fully equipped hard disk needn’t worry, as Itagaki adds “The Xbox 360 I buy will have a hard disk equipped. I believe 80% will buy the hard disk model. And so, take solace that we will make games that fully utilize the hard disk, just as we have until now.” Those without the hard disk are being taken care of, though, with Itagaki planning on tuning the game for the core system as well. In closing, Itagaki asks that users make a couple of additional purchases for their Xbox 360. First up is a USB keyboard. DOA4 allows for keyboard chat. The game uses a lobby system that Itagaki refers to as “House,” where players can create their own avatars, which Itagaki refers to as a “Doll.” Itagaki also suggests purchasing a joystick. Team Ninja is overseeing the development of an official joystick with peripheral maker Hori, just as it did for the DOA3 stick. Dead or Alive 4 is scheduled to launch with the Xbox 360, so we should be able to experience Team Ninja’s latest and greatest in less than two months. All that u do is drive around in circles for an a period of time, and then its over. Wheres the excitement, the action, i mean, dont get me wrong, i own PGR2 and its a cool game and all, but i need something with a little more thrill to it. U posted 3 articles on it in the last 2 days. Tell us something we dont know about, like a new game. Tell us about something more interesting. Its like u guys are sucking on racing game lollipop or something. Peace Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 13:22 The dlp has less flaws for ex..when you touch your lcd what happens ..you get that smear that ca leads to probelms and the frame rate is slower ...lcd might have 8 per sec but some DLP's will do 4 per sec..and its cheaper for a big screen...there also is CRT'S...The problem is not many people can afford the plasma(not worth it)2nd LCD'S so to get the same quality for less money and maintanace.. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 13:25 There IS more to this game ...there is gotham tv...and all the car interiors to explore and drive...its not a one button game anymore..just go get a racing wheel... JsonHenry 09.30.2005 13:27 #26 He is so right about the CRT models. CRT models offer way better pictures than the grainy LCD, or smokey edged look of a plasma. DLP, while looking good, still does not compare to the picture quality of this years Hitachi CRT models. Also, burn in not an issue with these TVs either. After reading several different reviews, and customer feedback, as well as people that work in stores such as Circuit City or HH Gregg, that Hitachi not only created the big screen, but they have the best picture, the best blacks, and the best brightness in this years CRT models. I was also told (and looked at personally) that even the Hitachi LCD and Plasma TVs can't hold a candle to the CRT visuals of this years models. I ended up buying a 51" Hitachi CRT HDTV, and it LOOKS AMAZING. I compared the tv at the store with the Sony, Samsung, Phillips, and Magnavox models, and it certainly has a better picture. If you are looking into getting a new HDTV, do yourself a favor and be sure to at least compare the Hitachi HDTV CRTs with other models. After you see the difference for yourself, you will understand why I can't see spending that kind of money on an LCD or Plasma TV unless they just really wanted to save space. JsonHenry 09.30.2005 13:31 Wait, wait, wait a second... what did he say about buying a keyboard? I thought the 360 was not supposed to support the use of a keyboard? That leaves a lot of possibilities open... Another question- Why would someone need a keyboard when you can use voice?! Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 13:42 keyboard is just to communicate with others in doa4 and u cant actually use it for playin. theres a video on gametrailers.com which shows characters in a house typing to each other. i think its just while u wait for a game. Unregistered - Anony mouse 09.30.2005 14:30 regarding tv screens i own a panasonic 42 inch plasma th42pa20(i thinkthats its model no) and they are still the only choice for high def (but you got to spend some serious money, mine cost 3000 english pounds) lcd suffer from colour banding( during fast or action scenes the screen cant keep up with whats going on it cant distinguish differing tones so it "bands" them.) my first plasma a cheep phillips one had the same problem it made you feel like you were drunk .so if any one out there is thinking about getting one i recomend panasonic or pioneer plasma anything over 2 grand and you got a cracking screen. PAUL CERULA 09.30.2005 16:06 Number 23 and 24 you've got to be kidding. I know what you mean but I can't afford 400 more dollars for 3 more inches on the samsung 23 lcd hdtv. Really that's too expensive and bulky for a college student like me (PSU). Sure if your re-doing a home entertainment system you may be able to drop 1200-1500 on a hdtv but not me. Granted I have to find some way of getting more than one game, ghost recon. So my advice is bigger is better but only when it is in reason and affordable. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 16:12 help me #46 JsonHenry 09.30.2005 16:18 #46 Your TV might upconvert (most do if they don't offer 720p) to 1080i, in which case you should see a vast improvement over 480i/p. However, the best way to test is to go out and rent a game that supports 720p and put it in the current Xbox. set your dash board accordingly, and then give it a shot with 720p enabled to see if it will upconvert. If it doesn't, then put your current TV in the local paper and sell it and get a real HDTV that supports not only 720p, but also 540p. I know for a fact this years Hitachi models ALL support everything BUT 1080p. (which you won't need for another 5 years anyway) I bought a 51" Hitachi for only about ID="MainNewsBlogCom",650 after taxes here in TN. JsonHenry 09.30.2005 16:20 Why does it do that when I enter a dollar a figure? I bought my HDTV for sixteen hundred dollars after tax here in TN man. Unregistered - Panic 66 09.30.2005 17:12 Anyone looking for a new HDTV (52" or larger) should consider the JVC HD-ILA. I have had mine for over a year and would not trade it for anything. It's brighter and more vibrant than an LCD rear projection without the screendoor effect. Since it has 3 chips you do not get any rainbow color flashes like you might see with DLP due to the spinning color wheel. The colors are very natural and as close as you can get to a tube HDTV that I have seen (at least in a rear projection set). I had a Sony 34" tube HDTV for a year before deciding to move up in size. I than tried a Samsung HLP5063 DLP but was having issues with the rainbow effect. Returned the Samsung for the JVC and could not be happier. The new 2nd generation models are also much cheaper than mine was. It has been awesome with the XBOX but should really shine with the 360. Unregistered - PS3Player 09.30.2005 17:31 You 360 fans are happy, well shouldn't you all be, this generation (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube) look old for ya'll, and watching these screens no wonder ya'll saying "Wow, awesome, and some other shit like that." Enjoy because the 360 got 6 months before it is viewed as an outdated console. What i mean is that when the PS3 hit stores ya'll will be tired with the already old 360, and ya'll gonna look at the PS3 and say "Good Lord, God bless the PS3". Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 17:34 more like you just spoke a wrong answer haven't you been reading the articles from ps3 sites developers really don't like the cell processor. and the ps3 won't even use all the cores so talk to people who care about the ps3 Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 17:49 #55 that was a pretty impressive post. Unregistered - Anonymous Coward 09.30.2005 18:06 I'm getting my Xbox 360 from Bestbuy because i have a $150 voucher for there. I bought a $20 warranty for my ps2(don't worry, I like xbox better). The salesclerk who worked there said "just bring it back in and say the controller doesnt't work or something, and we'll give you the price of what its worth" So I did and I sent the ps2 back in to the manufacturer and got $150 back. Believe in the PS3, is belief in reality.Long live Sony, loyalty to the end. Unregistered - TJM 10.04.2005 11:31 Personally, I like the detail in the PGR Cinematic Teaser Video, I find the details look more amazing than the stuff coming out lately. I dont know what it is, but something about the Cinematic Teaser looks MORE real than these videos. I know before they send that stuff to the Theaters they put some sort of "FILTER" on it, to make it look that way, I think BIZARRE should include some soft of Cintematic Filter in the settings. If they could get it to look exactly like they did on the 1st Trailer, that would be SWEET!!! Unregistered - Last angel 10.11.2005 11:41 All car games look good! I think. Add Comment |
