Speaking recently to GameInformer.com, Peter Moore said that Microsoft "will probably be in a position in about two weeks" to post a list of Xbox games that will be playable on its next-gen console at launch on Xbox.com. No further explanation about how many titles this will include was mentioned. Moore continued, saying that the compatability list "will grow and grow and grow" and will "get updated as more and more games get through certification", suggesting that the company may be planning a larger backwards-compatible catalogue than previously expected. I remember when they got all excited about how real the characters looked and the expressions they did on Fight Night Round 3 for "only" the Playstation 3. Then I recall that some PS3 fans said that the Xbox 360 only makes doll looking characters. Now correct me if I'm wrong but didn't EA say that Fight Night Round 3 is coming also to the Xbox 360!! And they said that the game will look like what they showed at E3-05!!! That should really put the knowledge in the PS3 fans heads and stop underestimating the power of the Xbox 360. 25 -

For most of us it will basically mean using a different controller, and thats pretty much the only difference we're going to have for games such as Halo 2. the only real bonus I see to it is the fact I wont have to pay two xbox live subscription fees, one for Xbox and one for 360. but yeah I mean, those of us (the ones that comprise the major population of this site) already OWN Xbox's, so the advantage is minimal, unless your looking to save space.... 30 -

And why concern themselves with past titles when they'll probably remake it 20 or so years down the line. And for Spartan, suprisingly, not all of us like the Halo franchise. I personally think it's just another average shooter. So it would be nice for the rest of us to have some other Xbox 1 games (Such as Burnout 3, KOTOR and fable) back compatible so we don't have to keep switching SCART or AV leads around. 34 -

#18 Unregistered - GAMFACE 10.07.2005 02:41 Hell yeah, 2K5 was a lot better than Madden!, and I think that would be a great idea, I wish I had thought of it first, if they still made a next gen football game modeled off their 2K5 series and just remove the NFL logo, teams, and players names....and we could name the teams and players anything we liked....I think it would work, think about it: 2K6 next gen graphics + better gameplay than Madden + customized teams off and online = serious competition for EA's Madden even without an exclusive NFL license which is actually the best thing for the Madden fans, but especially for the 2K5 fans and therefore if you are a true gamefan, WE ALL WIN!...I guess if there is enough support for the idea then somehow it got sent to Visual Concepts, you never know they might actually do it, or something like it. 47 -

Just my thoughtsUnregistered - just some guy 10.11.2005 18:55 I don't think that BC is all that important. Yeah there are a few games that you would want to carry over to the 360 but other than that I don't see it being very important. I'd love to just immerse my self into alot of the new hd games.
