CVG claims to have the first details about Fable 2 on Xbox 360. Though it’s not much, it is enough to get us excited thinking about what Peter Molyneux and his team can achieve on the 360. [ a source has revealed to CVG that he interviewed Peter Molyneux recently and the Lionhead genius revealed not only that he's really enjoying making Fable 2 for Xbox 360, but also spilled a few tasty gameplay morsels.
Apparently Fable 2 will see you start out as a young boy again but in a different area from the original Oakvale, only this time you'll have man's best friend for company in the form of a young puppy who accompanies you throughout the tale. Once again, how you act and interact with the Fable universe will change the appearance of your character, but now your dog will change too. Be good and you'll have a loving fluffy poodle for company, but play the bad boy and you'll be taking a snarling evil hound from hell for walkies!
And apparently that's about it for Fable 2, although Peter Molyneux apparently also did reveal that the brothels or bawdy houses, which made a recent appearance in Fable: The Lost Chapters, will also be a major feature. ] Source: CVG Add Comment  1 -

JsonHenry 11.07.2005 12:21 I think that Morrowind was a good game (as well as Battle Spire and Daggerfall from the same series), and maybe a little better than fable, but Fable was still a really good, different in style and art direction, game. 11 -

This actually drops my interest in Fable 2. What the hell am I supposed to do with a dog except kick it? Give me a horse which changes with my appearance and I might get interested. Or a Wizard's Familiar if you're a caster. Dogs are for poofs, good or evil. 13 -

Be grateful the webmaster is giving us fans some info, whether it's a game you're interested in or not...I for one can't wait to find out more about another Fable b/c I thought the first one was a nice change of pace from the traditional RPG's I play... 14 -
Maleficus the Great 11.07.2005 13:27 The original Fable was one of my favorite games of all time, and I had more fun playing Fable than I did with any other game. (I got my name from it) I do think that horses would be better than dogs and that it is just a cheap gimmick. Hopefully the dog will be removed or actually do something other than just following you. I am looking forward to the next Fable whether the dog has a practical use or not. 15 -

JsonHenry 11.07.2005 15:38 #12 I agree. Familiars, or something like that would make a much better pet experience. Or maybe even the ability to "buy" different animal types as you progress. Not like a horse, it would take up too much space and just look silly attacking. But wolves, mastiffs, bears, you get the idea. That would be way better I think. if you want a horse, go play Oblivion. 20 -

I hope This game can become more like what Peter said about Fable in the early stages and will be kinda cool with the dog hehe then u can use him to kill little children in citys where u can't use swords and weapons :P hehe lol 23 -

I was hoping for a more wide-open world like Morrowind, where you can explore on your own. The fact that Fable's world was broken into little sections was very constraining, and made for a LOT of load time. If Fable 2 has a more open world, I will probably get it. Otherwise, maybe I'd rent it sometime when I was bored. 24 -

Maroowind(Unregistered - RshadowIII 11.09.2005 18:03 I thought that FABLE was far better then Marowwind I really didnt like how choppy the graphics where and i didnt like the camera angles there was alot that I did like about it but I just that that FABLE was far better all though FABLE could have been alot longer matter of fact I think they need to make every game alot longer...ANY ways thats just my opinion and if you people get mad at me (#6) remember everyone has there own opinion. 29 -
