They bounce, are semi-buoyant, and young males seem to not get enough of them. They are breasts, or as some refer to them, boobies. In an odd way, the physics of breasts have become a huge factor and trend in the world of gaming. It’s quite interesting how this whole trend got started.

Doubts Over Pre-owned PS3 Bombshell

A story claiming that Sony is preparing to stop the potential sale of pre-owned PlayStation 3 games is being met with some skepticism by industry insiders.
According to a UK news source, citing retail contacts, Sony is preparing to make it illegal for consumers to sell used PS3 games. The plan would involve Sony adopting a licensing system whereby gamers would agree that they are purchasing a license to play a game, rather than the game itself.
If true, such a move would be a massive boost for publishers and developers which do not profit from the lucrative and damaging retail trade in used games. In fact, many publishers are furious that they have to spend support money on consumers who have not actually contributed a dime to the company's coffers.

SEGA is having an affair with Sony

SEGA (or Sega Sammy) have revealed a list of the games that are currently in development. Looking at the list you start to wonder what exactly Sony is doing with SEGA as the amount of Playstation Portable, 2 and 3 games outweighs all of Microsofts and Nintendos games put together.

Speaking to Eurogamer this morning, a representative said: "At the moment, other formats of Assassin's Creed are unconfirmed." Which suggests they're at least considering an Xbox 360 release - despite stating that the game would only only be out on PS3 when it was first announced.

During E3 Club Skill sat down with Guy Wilday, the studio director, from the new SEGA Driving Studio based in the UK (just round the corner from our very own Rob Rymond in Solihull), which is developing an all-new Sega Rally game for next-generation consoles and PC, called “Sega Rally Revo”.
The game's features include fully deformable surfaces, so the track will never act the same no matter how many times you play it, as well as is dramatically improved NPC AI - so it now dynamically adapts to the different road surfaces.

Sony's Online Service Not Free Afterall?

During Sony's pre-E3 briefing last week, the company spoke about its Online Service, which it has always said would be free for online play. However, it seems that is no longer the case. During the briefing, a number of features were mentioned as free, but not included was Online Gaming or Matchmaking.

Blu-ray is doomed.
I came to this conclusion shortly after reading John Dvorak's thoughtful dissection of the HD DVD versus Blu-ray imbroglio.
It was right on the money in all ways but one: Dvorak didn't anoint a winner; he thinks it'll take a couple of years to shake out.
I think he's wrong.

Bro-Mos." That's how Gearbox is referring to "brotherhood moments" in Hell's Highway, the third entry into the critically acclaimed Brothers In Arms franchise. These aren't canned, scripted moments of cheese that we've seen in other games, mind you. This is dynamic brotherhood. For instance, you can order one of your fire squads to hop over a wall and take cover across the street. Well, every now and then, one of those soldiers may trip and fall and one of his buddies will rush over, help him up, give him a pat on the behind, and continue bounding across the street. There are dozens of bro-mos that occur randomly throughout the game adding to the realism, the character-driven and emergent gameplay that BIA is known for.

The best way to put it is that Project 8 is more like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 -- specifically built for this next-generation of systems, as opposed to last year's effort, which looked and felt like a current-gen game ported to the Xbox 360 and up-resed. Neversoft is especially working on creating a more accessible game. It's fine tuning the D-pad and, more importantly, the analog sticks, which the newer generation of gamers use more often than the trusty D-pad. Naturally, you'll also be able to customize your skater, though Neversoft didn't explain exactly how in this new version.

IGN's Jeremy Dunhamhad the opportunity to duck behind SEGA's closed doors to watch the gameplay demo conducted by the production team itself (the press isn't allowed to play it yet) and got to view a special concept level designed specifically for demonstration purposes. The perspective looks almost identical to that of the aforementioned Resident Evil 4 (or Cold Fear if you want to go all obscure), but the overall gameplay and animation speeds are noticeably faster.

The last press conference before the big show was Konami's annual exhibition at the L.A. Public Library. It was full of new game revelations as usual, but one of the most surprising new announces was Hellboy -- a licensed actioner based on the popular Dark Horse Comics series and movie franchise. Developed by the Ty the Tasmanian guys at Krome Studios, Hellboy will see release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Sony PSP sometime in 2007.

Sony announced today that it would launch the PS3 in “Clear Black” in mainland Europe, US and Australasia on November 17, 2006, as part of a worldwide simultaneous launch. The PS3 will be equipped with Blu-ray and Pre-Installed HDD and be available at €499 (20GB HDD) and €599 (60GB HDD) in Europe, and $499 and $599 in the US.

Ultra-secret sources deliver juicy details on the TimeSplitters dev's new FPS, heading for next-gen in 2007. We already know that band of ex-Goldeneye devs, Free Radical is showing off its new FPS - codenamed Game V (or Game Five) which is being developed in collaboration with Ubisoft - at this week's show. However, CVG just learned from a secret source speaking under conditions of strict anonymity that the game will be called 'Haze', and is heading for PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.
